A General Introduction to Psychoanalysis (Classics of World Literature)

excellent read, recommended for read on a long flight

Essentially just the written version of Freud's introductory lectures to his field of psychoanalysis. Whilst its worth taking everything with a pinch of salt (most of the stuff espoused here was admittedly not the result of any kind of rigorous scientific experiment, but purely Freuds observations from a few patients), I've found it reasonable to relate much of what I've read already to my everyday life

Came as described. What can I say a books a book I ordered this and another for my fiancee who's studying a degree. Shes happy. The book wasnt damaged on arrival. Not hard to do but I suppose other companies would still manage to damage on delivery so thanks all.

He makes some really good points but waffles too much, it almost reads like a stream of consciousness writing. Hard to digest the meaning in what he is saying and lacks coherent structure to deliver his ideas through.It’s not written from a point of view to educate the reader well but more as if he is just talking to himself.

Definatley worth the read if you are into Psychology, it was informative and came in brilliant condition through the post.
