Maxview 286615 - Variable Signal Booster

I bought this to replace the booster that came with my motorhome.The gain button had come off and this replacement fitted like for like. A very easy replacement.From getting no signal we now get 180 channels listed. Even on sites where they say no signal. For the price this is one of the best fixes I have bought.Brilliant amazing value.Just give it a go. I have been amazed with the difference

This works really well in giving a good picture on the TV in our motorhome.Used it to replace one that had packed up and the power supply was exactly the same size.You have to change the ends of the co-ax cables to RF plugs so order extra at the same time as ordering the booster

Unfortunately I had to return due to missing parts and being faulty, however I have heard very good reviews so do not be put off by this review. Amazon as always makes return policy easy.

It doesn't seem to make any difference to the picture quality as others have said! I've left it connected as I've bought it so why not!!

The good:It works! My HD channels were blocky and could not maintain signal. Using this along with some F-type to coax connectors (sold separately) has resulted in perfect signal on all HD channels. The variable gain is set at around 80%. Any higher and there’s too much signal but any lower means jumpy, blocky pictures. So if you’ve tried other boosters that do not appear to work, try one with variable gain control like this one. Start at the lowest setting and turn it up slowly until your picture settles.The bad:Packaging. It comes in one of those horrible plastic sealed containers that has to be cut open with powerful scissors or a craft knife. And then the plastic will cut you. It’s inevitable. Why this is still used as packaging is beyond me.No power supply. There is a wire that is fused and probably designed to connect to a car cigarette lighter. Therefore it is DC, not AC. Be warned! Luckily I had a 12v dev power brick from a set of led lights that worked a treat.

This is a useless piece of equipment. It worked for a week then stopped. I examined the inside and found the printed circuit around the input 12volt socket was corroded. The unit was inside the house and nothing could have caused the problem. It just seemed that this must have been old stock and was damaged there. I would not purchase from this supplier again.

Ottimo. Ideale per il camper, avendo l' alimentazione a 12/24 V e l' interruttore di accensione / spegnimento per non consumare inutilmente la batteria ( io l' ho comunque collegato sotto interruttore generale per evitare dimenticanze ). Il regolatore di guadagno funziona davvero. Avvertimento: spegnendolo non va in " bypass ", per ricevere il segnale, va lasciato acceso.
