Does the job and keeps limescale away

Have tried with this in washing a few times now and it seems to do the job

Definitely helps with limescale in my washer however i have noticed that after a while its started the open in areas leaving the magnet inside starting to come through the gap so ive had to purchase another one ans dispose of the old one. Its a shame to have to replace within a year. Hopefully this one doesn’t do the same.

I've been using these magnoic (mshballs for many years now, as I've always lived in hard water areas. Soft water areas it would be pointless using them. I use them with other products to prevent the build up of limescale. They are great value for money, and have a life span of 5 years. Towards the end of their life span the balls begin to loose their shape. That's a warning they need to be replaced.I have 2 if them, and they are bright pink in colour. One I place in the basket if my dishwasher, and the other is placed in the drumb of the washing machine. As they are magnetic they mustn't be placed in the tumble dryer. Also they aren't suitable for very high temperatures(90Saying that they are very sturdy. I like the fact they are a natural defence to combat lime.scale. These balls are very reasonably price, bearing in mind they last up to 5 years.

I moved to Derby a few years ago, and have been battling limescale ever since. Whilst I have a filter jug for drinking water and have tried out a range of cleaners (Astonish has been AMAZING), I still wanted to try something non-chemical for clothes washes. I noticed that since moving, my washing often felt like it had a sort of residue left on it when it came out of the wash, and giving it an extra rinse didn't seem to make much/any difference. I decided to try this out as it is non-chemical and basically no effort (put in washing machine, done) and I am really impressed with the results. No longer have that residue (wash cycle, washing machine and the softener I use with things like bedding all remain the same - same products same dosage), and washing dries to be much softer since using this ball. I would definitely recommend it if you live in a hard water area, it really has made a difference!

We had this in our washing machine for quite a while yet closes kept coming out stinking. We've since used soda crystals which have solved this issue.

This seems to make the water softer just have to see how well it works on lime scale

I bought this because I live in a hard water area. I use it regularly, but can’t see any change in the ball itself, and do not intend to dismantle the washing machine to check the heating element. I realised that when I bought it, and am prepared to pay a little as insurance even if it doesn't work.
