Fantastic Product
Excellent product which was purchased in order to connect a new Samsung UHD TV to an old but much loved pairs of wireless Sennheiser headphones. The headphones base unit could not be plugged into TV because it does not have a 3.5mm Jack input. This product was setup in moments and works flawlessly. Excellent quality audio and no settings need to be changed on the TV either. Particularly useful is that the product To utilises one of the USB slots in the TV to draw its power, therefore removing the need for any additional electrical adapters.Very happy with the product - fabulous price considering the USB and optical lead are included, so no need to buy additional optical leads. Happy days!

Good for the price.
Great for the price. I use it to connect a sound bar to my tv. It’s not the best quality for audio but concicering it was so cheep it does a decent job. It comes with an optical cable which is a good length. Got delivered in good time.

Really clever piece of kit, with one limitation
I wanted to feed the sound from a Sony DVD player with co-axial audio output plus a Humax PVR with Optical output into my hi-fi, an ancient Yamaha with phono plug inputs. This clever box almost worked for me. The sound conversion was flawless for my purposes. Unfortunately, I found that the optical input took preference over the co-ax. I had hoped I could leave both plugged in and simply turn on the source I wanted to hear, but plugging in the optical lead nuked the other one until I unplugged it. This is mentioned in the paperwork that came with the converter, but not in the Amazon blurb. So the box is relegated to converting the co-ax signal, I used the analogue outputs on the Humax and I have to switch inputs on the Yamaha. Not a major problem but that's why I gave 4 stars not 5. Still excellent value and really well made

Better than TV DAC
In my bedroom I us my TV only with headphones (Sony MDR SX310).I wanted a better sound if possible.I use digital out from TV into the DAC. The problem is I have no volume control from the TV because the digital output. I bought a Lepy LP-168 miniamp and I'm all done. Most of the headphones can do better than what a dedicated TV output can offer to them. So, for a better sound, a DAC and a miniapm will do the trick (but not for high-end seekers, of course)

Low volume on neoteck dac
This device converts a digital signal to analogue ok but the volume level is low even if the volume controlis set to max.Not suitable for use with a smart TV.

Simple and effective.
Good simple little box, used it to send audio from my tv via optical cable (supplied) to this box and then RCA to my receiver. Works flawlessly and is powered by a spare USB port on the tv using the supplied power cable. Nicely built and very small so easy to hide.

Good value and performance
My new monitor had no speakers or headphones socket so I needed a short and longer term solution. This DAC met both. The headphone output is great for personal listening and the other outputs will be ideal when/if I connect up an amplifier and speakers in the future. In summary, it works well and is good value (arrived quickly and well packaged too!)

Flimsy, don’t touch once it’s plugged in
Got this 2 years ago, kept it plugged in and worked fine. Can’t edit volume control on it which is a downside, but volume set is high enough to hear.2 years later, need to move the tv so unplug the optical cable from the tv, quite sturdy but seemed to come out eventually. Plug it back in to find it now won’t work. Rechecked connection on both sides of the cable, but the entry connection on the box itself seems more wiggly than before, so guessing a single replugging has shown how flimsy the soldering has been.Maybe I should count myself lucky I didn’t have to move it earlier!
