Sharp and to the point !
This really is knife sharpening made easy. Oil stones are just messy, waterstones hollow out and need re-flattened, steels are primarily used to align edges - if you want to truly sharpen with one of these you could well end up with tennis elbow by the time you have finished! The DMT (Diamond Machine Technology) Whetstones are machined flat and have an interrupted diamond sharpening surface, although nothing else is required you can add a little water to the sharpening surface. Just a few simple strokes over the Whetstone and instantly you are slicing that onion or tomato like the knife is brand new once again. They can last for years with minimal maintenance (a Whetsone care kit is available) so are a good investment. The fine (red) Whetstone is great for general kitchen knife maintenance.
