It comes with a fairly long 10ft approx. corded lead.

Q: Can you turn the ringer off?

hi just tried and you can turn the ringer off. The little button on the back which you can see just above the light has three positions Loud ring Low ring and off. The light still flashes when the phone rings so ideal if you do not want to wake anyone else up. I have bought several of these phones and found them excellent and unlike some cheaper ones seem to last forever. They have a quality feel about them to. I have wall mounted one of ours and it hangs great another is used as a bedside one. Anyway highly recommended.

Q: Does this phone function ok with an internet DSL connection plugged alongside it?

Yes it does, as long as you have a ADSL filter, taking both modem and phone line out.

Q: why doesn't this phone work at all with a virgin media phone line?

I have one off these phones and it works very well on the Virgin Media Line,I am very pleased with it.Have you tried phoning Virgin, they are very helpful with any problems. Good luck, John.
