Easy to use, well made and effective
Bought to take a closer look at the engagement ring I'd bought for my (now) fiancé; made me appreciate the tidy sum I'd spent on a few rocks a lot more, so it must be good. Great for looking at many items a little more closely. It's a good price and very small, so no reason not to have one at home.

Carson 10x LumiLoupe Stand Magnifier Loupe
The Carson 10x LumiLoupe Stand Magnifier Loupe is perfect for my requirements. Used to magnify the rear screen of my Nikons, I can now see if my focus is truly dialled in. I don't use this all the time but for those times when focus is critical, I find the little loupe a real bonus.Quality is good and overall, I'm very pleased with the item. I would certainly purchase again if required.

A novel design that works well
I had wanted to buy a loupe for years, mainly interested in looking close up at photos and other printed material. Every time I looked at such products on Amazon, most seems of uncertain origin and quality. So I was very happy to eventually discover the Carson loupe with its novel design and good magnification for a reasonable price. Sure one needs reasonable ambient lighting but that has not been a problem for me so far.

Restricted Loupe
Why did you choose this product over others?:First off, its nice - it has an acrylic base and plastic rim but doesn't feel cheap. Its simple to use for looking at things like plants up close. My major drawback with it is that to look at something in focus isn't an exact science, and the cup actually stops you looking at things in the detail you want. For example, I want to use the loupe to look at a watch face. Well, I can't really because the cup prohibits it getting closer to the lens. The focus is just not there for some items because of the base of the cup. So its nice, but I need another loupe now to view things at the desired closeness. Value for money:Decent for the money but feels like it's better for kids than adults.

positioning the loupe correctly to view details on coins and stamps
i like the size and shape, compact and easy on the eye. the only draw-back is positioning the loupe correctly to read details.
