I love this simple DJ party mix controller
The media could not be loaded. Before I opened the box , it was very light and came in big box surrounded it, excited and keen to try my new DJ controllerI did have a numark 2 channel mixer before and trusted the confidence in the technologyNumark has come a long way since 20 agoI opened it up and checked through everything and numark has certainly packaged it well,What you get , instructions a mixer and usb connection which just makes it plug and playGreat for beginners who just wanna start out, get quickly set up. As it headache to learn and if don’t know what you’re doing, for I been DJ ing and producing music and singing for 30 years and I use this to connect it to my virtual DJ software, which I downloaded first, I suggest getting DJ controller which basically syncs to the Virtual DJ software you got to honest I only have used Virtual DJ as it does everything you wantI’m very pleased with it so far.. I used some of the drum pads and audio samples that already came with .. once you mastered beat matching you add samples and loops which gives a little extra effect to your mixesI love the lighting at the front of the mixer and it has simple switch to have what lighting patterns you wish to make it feel more in a party mix moodGoes well with my DJ rig set and lighting right and does not take up much space it sit nicely in front of my laptop stand, pictured aboveBut you have 30 days free trial with virtual DJ ..don’t be put of by Subscription if you plan to use it for business for $19 a month, it be so worth the money, just a $49 for home usewhat’s really helpful if you ever get stuck, there so much to explore in virtual DJ and helpful videos on YouTube and in virtual DJAs I be using it for business s well my live-streams which my online businessAs an experience DJ and music producer for the price of the product is worth the money great for DIgital DJ generationAs it sits nicely on my 4ft Gorrila Dj Rig and table, perfect as I also wanted to connect the audio out to my VMX 1000 professional DJ mixer to a line input, this so I can play CDs as well my vinyl still to test the quality of the controller, yes it certainly gives a great impactWhat I suggest is that to get the same skin as the numark DJ controller in virtual DJ which the best software as it allows you to do video mp4s normal videos like karaoke or other, it fantastic bit of kit totally worth the moneyBut if you’re just starting out or upgrading to better software, this still great stuff.. I buy my Lasted Remixes and dance hits from Cd pool .com if you have no music or looking to get newSo buy one today , don’t delaySummary, the great for my budget before upgrading and expansion of buying CD j s, so I feel that caught up with the Digital world if DJ ing , which saves your back to carrying heavy music CDS around and vinyl definitely easy to use

A great bit of Kit
A really simple and easy to use DJ interface.Ok there are bigger and better on the market, I know I've had and used them, this unit has a lot of the functionality at a fraction of the cost and size.Plus pointsCompact sizeInbuilt sound cardProgrammable pads for cue points/samples/effects that can be assigned and swapped at the touch of a buttonComes with Virtual DJ, the easiest solution for broadcasting or streaming ( video and karaoke also work directly in the software) without the need for external recorders or broadcastersQuick and easy plug and play and easy to set up (only limited by your computer, i5 or above recommended for streaming or full HD video, but that's software not hardware)Light, robust, portableDownsidesNo Mic input (not a real issue as there are plenty of great USB mics available and you have just saved a couple of hundred quid buying this so you could buy a semi decent Shure or Röde and still take the other half out to dinner)It does look and feel a bit cheap and plasticy and that's because it is cheap and plasticy, but if it's about performance and not asstetics this does exactly what it should and has never let me down.I've had one for 5 years, it's traveled with me around the world, been used in bars, clubs, on tours and is currently my go to device in a radio studio purely for its ease of use and compact design. As a starter unit, a practice unit or just a general use unit save your money and buy one of these. The next best out there start at around £200 for a decent Newmark product or £250 for a less functional Pioneer DDJ400 (but if you want to pay for a brand you know it's your wallet)Oh and it has bonny lights built in if you want a really crap light show...

Great beginner controller. Would have liked 3 EQ
This is a great little unit. The software only working with tidal is an issue but not really controlled by Numark. The controller is super simple to setup and use. One thing I wish I had noticed is that it only has a high and low equaliser as apposed to high/mid and bass. For the price point you can’t really knock it.

Great product...just do some basic research
I used to DJ with vinyl years ago and wanted to get back into it at home, i seen this product but was slightly put off by the reviews so hopefully others can read this and realise what a great product this is and what great value for money it is also. I spent a good couple of days researching the product and the included software serato dj lite and how to get the songs i wanted loaded on. Serato dj lite is free and works with soundcloud go+ which costs £10 a month which isn't bad for the vast number and variation of songs available (if serato dj lite charges in the future I will update my review accordingly). I also found a way to transfer my playlists from youtube music across to Soundcloud which was fairly easy following a quick google search. I had to buy headphones seperate (Numark ones for about £8 which are perfect) and the speaker I use only had a 1/8 inch aux in socket so i got an adaptor for about 4 quid and i was up and running for under £85 and will pay the £10 a month soundcloud subscription going forward. The numark party mix itself has been faultless, the lights add to the experience and for house parties and small venues are ideal even if they are a bit of a novelty. For anyone looking to get into some basic djing this is an ideal purchase, just do a bit of research on google and youtube 1st as there are loads of tutorials for both the product and the software!

Flimsy recommend DDJ200
Great starter controller but very flimsy. I would recommend the DSJ 200 instead
