BANDAI Hobby #08 RX-178 Gundam MK II (AEUG) 1/144, Real Grade

I loved Zeta Gundam, so buying this was just a treat! The amount of detail on this model, as is standard-issue for the Real Grade model line, is incredible considering the size of the figure, and it certainly made building the inner frame as interesting as installing all the armour panels.The only problem I had with this figure is in no fault of the product itself. but with my lack of experience with those miniature decals. I've always had a problem with decals, but these were a whole new level of headache due to have improper tools for the job (read: large bony fingers) that made applying them a trial in and of itself. And don't get me started on those instances when the decals just spontaneously propel themselves upwards into the nether of the living room carpet. But as I said, that's a user fault. Plus the Gunpla tools are just expensive considering that I could just use a pair of tweezers that I don't have.Still, that doesn't deter from the fact that this model is just beautiful, no matter how you look at it. Now, about that Zeta Gundam...

This is awesome. If you haven’t built any Gundam kits before I wouldn’t recommend this as a first one unless you have other model making experience. Some parts are slightly small and a little fiddly to assemble but it’s a gorgeous kit. Very very poseable. The engineering on something so small is mind blowing. There are a lot of decals and that’s the slowest part of the build if you put them on. But it still looks cool without them. A few options as to which vents and pieces are used across the build. Very impressed with the final build.

Great model, a beginner could tackle it but personally I'd get a couple hg models under the belt just for experience.Comes with stickers, but water slides are available so get those, makes for a much better look.Some of the leg armour bits will pop off, so get some for for that and the back knee piping, as it won't stay in place when assembling.Use a lighter to singe the nylon piping to stop it from fraying.You have to panel line this model, ok not vital but honestly it adds so much realism to it.Other than that go for it, take your time, sand down and trim the nubs, it's a great fun build and you'll love it.Next one for me is the rg nu gundam and I can't wait.

Brilliant kit, superb fine details for the size. Some ingenious engineering on the frame parts. The stickers (not dry/wet transfers) actually look very good on the grey/white parts. Some parts are quite fiddly to assemble, so steady hand required but that's to be expected at this scale.

Amazing details despite the grade is not the top one. I will keep buying these amazing ba day toys. These ones can be fun to build even for the very young kids... with a bit of help

idk why but mine is not good in quality....I have to use a lot of superglue so that I can connect them into right pieces(I cant even connect the upper body to the lower body...because the joint structure between them doesn’t fit at all...).

Not assembled it fully as of yet but the attention to detail is quite staggering and the kit goes together very well, an interesting juxtaposition to my mixed experiences with some UK/Italian based manufacturers models!If you love miniature or scale modeling, for the price, for something a little different... I'd highly recommend it!
