Kärcher Window Vac WV 2 Plus for windows, tiles, mirrors & shower, window cleaning set, window vacuum, efficient & reliable

Initially I was very pleased with the ease of use of this window vac. Combined with the extension poles (sold separately) it makes cleaning high windows very much easier. You do need to use this appliance before the sun gets on your windows to avoid smears but any are easily removed using a soft micro fibre cloth after cleaning has been completed.Unfortunately after three uses over an eight month period, the unit has stopped working. It was cleaned and stored full charged after its last use in July 18 but on trying to use the vac today, the power light is flashing when turned on but the motor appears to be dead. I am going to try contacting Amazon for a replacement or repair as the unit is still under warranty. Amazon website referred me to manufacturer. I have contacted Karcher via their Online chat and they have given me instructions on how to proceed with a warrantyclaim. I'll update this review following their reply.Updated August 2018Karcher were extremely apologetic that the window vac had malfunctioned and immediately arranged to send a replacement power unit out to my home. Their working schedule is four working days and delivery is on a day convenient to the customer. The brand new replacement window vac power unit arrived as promised this morning in a return box. I simply had to remove and retain the cleaning head and water reservoir which were working perfectly and exchange the defective part. This was a simple procedure and worked flawlessly. The brand new replacement motor works fine and the remaining period of the initial two year warranty is still valid.Very impressive customer service on a great machine and I have escalated the star rating back up to five stars.

I was a little sceptical after seeing some photos left in other reviews, however I decided to go ahead with the purchase. I smoke an e-cigarette, so this often leaves the a layer on windows and mirrors. Because of this I have to clean the windows more frequently than I should.It was easy to piece together and equally easy to take apart for cleaning. If you're careful and follow the instructions, you can achieve the streak-free windows as the product boasts.Tips:- Don't tilt the vac, keep it parallel.- Don't be shy to apply the detergent. I've not noticed any issues with extra liquid, it's what it's designed to do. When the window is dry is when streaks appear.All-in-all very impressed with this product, it's a massive time saver with great results.Usually it would take 15 minutes to clean the 2 windows and patio doors in my apartment by hand. On the day of purchasing this I decided to do 3 mirrors, 2 windows, and the glass on the shower cubicle. All in under 15 minutes!

This is an ideal tool for tackling condensation in the bathroom and other spaces with glass or ceramic surfaces.I was apprehensive buying it but changed my mind just after first use.The window Vac is fairly light and very easy to clean as it can be easily disassembled. You can reverse the cleaning blade or buy replacement that insures streak free cleaning, however the product is far from perfect with few rather important shortcoming:1- The 25 minutes runtime is more or less correct, but, there is no battery level indicator. The green led light starts flashing minutes before it dies out which is pointless and not practical. imagine the fuel gauge on your car give you few minutes warning to get fuel or else!2- The motor needs to be stronger - you can, at times, hear it struggling to work.3- Bottom of water container is inaccessible for cleaning and soon becomes grey and unsightly. You can only clean it by using bleach.4- Shame it doesn't come with USB charging cableIn short Karcher window cleaner could do with few design improvements for it to work better but I, by no means, suggest that the alternative copycat products might do better

I bought this as a means of getting rid of condensation off my windows. Does a great job of cleaning the windows and getting rid of the condensation.I bought this over the cheaper versions as I like the brand and know they are good and reliable. The unit is nice and light. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a great bit of kit!! I have looked at this product from time to time and whilst I really wanted one, I really didn't want to fork out so much. But when it was recently reduced by Amazon, hell-fire, I just had to get it. I was not disappointed. There are many similar products out there but by spending a bit of money, you truly get a quality piece of equipment.It arrived well-packaged with clear, no-nonsense instructions and it worked straight out of the box. I thought it was going to be heavy and chunky, but far from it. The designers at Karcher really thought this through and it is remarkably light and easy to use. It comes with a spray bottle with rewashable mop-thingy for the wiping of the window first and then the WV2 just sucks up all the dirt from the window leaving them amazingly clean. I've used it indoors on mirrors, outside on the car (brilliant on the car) and the windows, of course. Emptying the dirty water container is so simple and I've only had to charge it once since getting it.I did buy an extra 500ml of cleaning concentrate but even that is amazing at how little you need to use.Well done Karcher.
