I am currently growing out my hair and have decided not to cut it for twelve months. I oil it every week. I wanted to try this cult classic for the longest time. It was recommended to be by an Irish Traveller who had the most gorgeous luscious locks. It smells gorgeous. I do two shampoos and one condition and my hair and scalp feel so clean. It’s left my hair feeling stronger. I’m excited to see how my hair grows using this.

This is the first time I've ever written a product review for something I've bought online, so it goes to show just how awesome this product is.Having recently moved to a house in a very hard water water area, I'd noticed that my hair (normally light blonde and very thin) was looking dull, limp and greasy due to all the minerals in the water.In a desperate attempt to make it look better, I took to using a 'lightening spray' (I won't mention any product names here) to boost my colour back to blonde again as I can't afford to have it highlighted every couple of weeks. Little did I realise, this spray contains all manner of nasty things like peroxide, ammonia, etc.Result: very damaged hair and one very grumpy hairdresser.I won't lie, when he recommended that I start using 'horse shampoo' to fix the dreadful mess on my head, I wasn't overly amused (although that said, the kids found it HILARIOUS). I somewhat reluctantly made the purchase and thought I'd better give at a go, just to appease him...So here I am, ten days on. My hair is amazing. It's not looking dull and lifeless at all. I haven't used the lightening spray for two weeks, but my hair (even the roots) are looking naturally blonder and there's no hint of greasiness.I won't go so far as to say that it looks 'thicker' as such, but it's definitely bouncier and feels really smooth. The lightening spray had coated some of my hair in a residue that felt almost sticky when my hair was damp. That had been going on for a couple of months, but the stickiness has completely disappeared and I have no trouble running a comb through my hair whatsoever.This shampoo/conditioner is by far the best I've ever used and I won't be changing to anything else (unless I'm ordered to in the future by my hairdresser).To finish it off, I use a very small blob of Macadamia Natural Healing Oil Hair Treatment which I rub between my hands and run through the length and ends of my hair as a serum. (They sell it on Amazon, just type it into the search bar). It's money well spent and is the perfect way to complement the 'horse shampoo' to give my hair an even smoother and shinier finish.If you do nothing else today, then just for goodness sake follow everyone's advice on here and buy some of this stuff. Give it a week to work it's magic, and I reckon you'll thank me for spending my lunch-break so wisely :-).Happy shampooing!

Waited to review until I used a good amount.Had high hopes as had good reviews but found it to be just okay. Shampoo has a nice clean smell. Texture is a thick and it slides off your hand so you have to mix with water quickly. Good shampoo of your hair has excess oils. Found it quite stripping and my hair was dryer after washing.Conditioner is similar. Nice spent. Texture easy to spread through hair length. Described as moisturising but it rinses very well so I didn't find the moisture stayed on the hair and it rinses clean. I had to use other products to put the moisture back in.Good for oily to normal hair.

Always delivers a great result hair feel smooth and well conditioned.

Great fantastic on my Afro 4C hair. My hair is soft strong not dry. Especially great in the steamer, I use the conditioner after the gym in the steam room. No plastic cap , I let the steam bring moisture to my tight Afro curls. No scalp issues. In fact the shampoo and conditioner is my favourite set. I’ve used other well known black hair shampoo and conditioner brands. BUT this is the ONE I go back too. I mix conditioning Ayurveda powders with the conditioner. So nice in the steamer or heated cap. Textured hair Afro girls/women give it a try. And look on YouTube videos about it.

I started to suffer from hair loss at the age of 16. After a heavy period of hair loss, I was left with only the remaining stubs of hair at the back of my head.Unfortunately my hair continued to thin until I was 19. After years of thinning and hair loss, my hair stopped growing all together in some sections of my head.I went to a hair specialist, had multiple blood test to determine why my hair would not regrow. I made numerous diet changes, had several tablets and tried multiple products to get some hair growth, but nothing helped.As a teenager my hair caused me anxiety. Having thin uneven hair meant I could never have my hair down. I was incredibly embarrassed. It is important to understand my past problems with my hair, to truly see how much Mane and Tale has 'changed my hair life'Since using Mane N tail, most of my hair has had its first growth cycle since I was 19. I am now 23. This has lead to a huge boost in self confidence. Half of my head now has baby hairs, which are a little bit annoying as I have curly hair, but I am so happy to see them that I don't mind the tiny curls. The new hair is really soft and strong, because of this new growth I'm noticing all my hair at the root is thickening. The back of my head now has hair growing, which is a HUGE deal. I have gone from having just hair that reaches the top of my neck to just past shoulders. All of my hair is not level yet, as the back hair is only half way, but to have this much hair growth is phenominal to me. I still have to have my hair up, but the change is so dramatic I don't mind.I have been using this product for 3 months!I am in no doubt that it is this product that has helped my hair grow, but I also don't damage my hair if I can help it. I don't use a hair dryer ever! I only brush my hair with a big hair conb. I only use my hair straighteners on special occasions. I have my hair up in a bun when at work and out, but when I am home I leave it down. I sleep with my hair in a French plate, this is to reduce knots. I also only wash my hair 3 times a week and only brush it after washed and conditioned. (I also have the spray stay in condition from Mane n Tail) I believe this has also helped with the dramatic growth I'm seeing.Mane n tail is strengthening my hair, but it's so important that I am leaving it alone. If you want the product to work you have to make sure that when your hair grows it stays. It's a short term sacrifice for long term gain. You won't see results if you don't look after the hair.Thank you mane n tail.
