A FAN FOR LIFE!
((My name is Sarah, I use my bf’s account LOL)I read There Are No Saints and it was my first time reading Sophie Lark’s work. The plot, the characters, the slow burn, the suspense, the shock factor, the writing, the sentence structure, EVERYTHING was incredible. I cannot believe I took so long to read this book. I want to read every single thing she has ever written. This book healed something in me. This is the first time in a very very long time that i felt connected to a female main character. I could see myself within Mara. I could see all the dark and twisted pleasures of life that I feel shame for in Cole. This book made me not want to be ashamed anymore. As an aspiring author, there are a very select few that I look up to and strive to resemble, and Sophie Lark has become one of those authors.Incredible, Perfect, Amazing, Beautiful, Dark, DeepIf you’re thinking of starting this book or any book by Sophie Lark - DO IT NOW. DO IT. THIS IS YOUR SIGN.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

morally grey love!!!!!
Quick read! Had me captivated for most of it!! Read it in one sitting!!!! Love the dialogue witty & steamy!!!!! Definitely check the trigger warnings if you’re interested!!! The warnings are meant for a reason as this novel covers some pretty dark & heavy topics, but that said it conveys such emotions that we need to discuss not hide away from! It is sad that these things happen, but how the characters evolve good or bad from this experience is critical to the story!! It ends on a cliffhanger, but Main thing is a HEA in next one which is what I live for in novels!!!! No grammatical errors which is always a plus! The story flowed nicely!!!! Definitely can sense the connection loved that! Omg their fathers were such tools can’t believe them! Props to the author for creating such realistic & engaging characters & plot!! The chemistry between our main characters was AWESOME!!!! Loved the forbidden romance trope!! Possesive male alpha & his love eeekkkssss :)

Just wow!!!!
I've read many books from Sophie and this is by far the best I've read. Such creativity; very different and fresh. I'm not a fan of any thriller genre. I've read 2 by 2 different authors and both were good but some scenes I couldn't stomach. This book is a romantic, dark, thriller. However, it's not too much if that makes any sense. IT WAS A PERFECT MiX. The spice, the characters, the storyline. I can't wait to dive into the 2nd book of this series. 😍

Interesting
Good plot. Great characters. But I just can’t seem to get into it. Something is missing for me to make me truly interested in it.

my fourth dark romance!
I like the suspense of it and actually very intrigued. Can’t wait for what’s next. The fact they are artists makes it very savy and sexy and misterious.

Highly intriguing
This book was definitely a twist of the mind in more way the one. I didn’t even think it would be possible for me to be surprised while reading anymore. I have read a lot of dark romance but this one was on a different level. Don’t get me wrong some thing definitely weren’t as dark as some of the other books I’ve read but still some elements were. Anyways this story unfolds in some of the most interesting ways. The history between Cole and Shaw. The rivalry between the two artists. The backstory of Mara. It’s very intriguing. Highly recommend reading but check trigger warnings beforehand.

Beautiful mix of darkness and light
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Mara's determination to survive mixed with her ability to constantly and knowingly put herself in danger is so conflicting. I want to call her a stupid girl, and in the real world, we all would. But at the same time, I think she's known from the moment Cole didn't finish what Shaw started that he wouldn't hurt her... The tricky part is to make him acknowledge it.Cole is the ideal, morally grey book boyfriend with red flags left and right that only serve to draw us in. The tattoos!!! Love it! The voyeurism is hot! And Cole is the perfect protector, stalker, predator in every way.I love the ties to art and creativity. Mara's body canvas, her angelic submissive, her demon all so descriptive and lovely. I also love the originality from Cole with his golden sculpture. And Shaw's rendition of Ophelia. All such beautiful ideas despite the gruesome activities that lead up to their creation.Well-written and anxious to read book 2!

Sculpture and Clay
Im a sucker for a good serial killer romance and this one hit the spot. Only downer was the slow burn but the build up was so good, I didn’t mind it so much. The MC is so intuitive and strong and has me rooting for her and Cole.

KUDOS TO THE AUTOR FOR SUCH A WELL WRITTEN PROVOCATIVE STORY
This book got me out of a massive book slump. It's one of my first 5 stars reads of the year. It kept me hooked from the very beginnig even though I'm not usually a fan of slow burn, but it was perfect here. So happy I found this duet, now on to the next one...

Dark Romance Perfection
Characters: 5/5Setting: 4.5/5Writing: 5/5Plot: 5/5Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5Overall: 5/5“I do not love men: I love what devours them.”I am obsessed with this book. I’ve been wanting to read one of Sophie Lark’s books forever (she’s literally the reason I got KU, all the way back in September) and I’m so glad I finally have. I can’t say for sure if starting with the Sinners Duet was the way to go because, of course, I haven’t read anything else. I can say for sure that this is one of the best dark romance books I’ve ever read.Let’s start off with the plot. I don’t want to spoil too much (though I will provide TWs at the end) but just know that this book is chaotic af and I wouldn’t have it any other way.Our protagonist, Mara, is amazing. I would die for her. She goes through it in this book and has for her whole life, as most DR heroines do, but she’s able to get back up on her feet with Cole’s support. She has some truly iconic moments. I mean, she keeps a serial killer for company. Clearly, she’s a badass.Said serial killer, Cole, is a character I was truly skeptical about. I went into this book wondering how Lark was going to make that work as a love interest, but she absolutely did.I’m halfway through There Is No Devil right now and I can confirm that book 2 is just as dark, steamy, and impeccable.Trigger warnings from a review on StoryGraph. These are not listed anywhere in the book or on the authors website. BIG red flag.Graphic: Blood, Classism, Kidnapping, Cursing, Gaslighting, Toxic relationship, Gore, Sexual assault, Torture, Death, Emotional abuse, Schizophrenia/Psychosis, Injury/injury detail, Murder, Sexual content, Stalking, Violence, Body horror, and BullyingModerate: Self harm, Abandonment, Misogyny, Child abuse, and ConfinementMinor: Death of parent and Alcohol
