Good addition to the Shield
I have tried a number of different accessories to get a better grip on my M&P Shield. I have to admit that my favorite was the Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove because it provides a larger girth to the grip to fit my hand better plus the better non-slip surface. The problem with the Grip Glove is that it slips and doesn't stay in place. I tried a number of different things like tape and glue, but they just make a mess and they don't really hold the Grip Glove in place for very long. So after reading the positive reviews for these rubberized Talon grips, I decided to try it.It installs very easily and is cut precisely to fit the Shield. A bit of time and repitition with a heat gun, and this grip "tape" is very securely installed on the Shield. I think it can be removed, but I would have to deliberately want to do that. The problem with the Talon grip is that it does not add much (really any appreciable) girth to the grip. As most Shield owners know, it's a skinny grip and takes some time getting use to it.Anyway, as a lark, I put the Grip Glove over the Talon grip and lo and behold, the Grip Glove doesn't slip anymore. It does rotate slightly, but the big thing is that it no longer slips down to interfere with a magazine change. The small bit of rotation is easily adjusted, and that seems to be so slight that I only readjust it after a complete range session. This might be a waste to a lot of you, but I'm quite happy with this. Granted, the Talon Grip itself is a very good product and improves the ability to have a better purchase on the gun even with sweaty hands, so by itself it is well worth it. Like most have already reported, it is a good product and something I would recommend.

Excellent grip easy to install
What a great product for my M&P. That was the only thing I always complained about was the grip, it felt like it would fly out of your hand if you sweated just a little. This rubber grip was perfect

Detailed review, both textures (pictures)
I have had a Smith and Wesson Shield 9mm for a few years now and generally use it as my edc, especially in the warmer months. Overall I like it, but I do have a few gripes with the gun, one of which has been that the grip area of the polymer frame always felt pretty smooth. I figured I would give these Talon grips a shot as the cost is pretty low and they appeared to be easy to remove if I didn't like them.I started off with the granulate, as I had recently tried a full size Sig Sauer with a similar textured grip area which I found appealing. They were easy to install, and honestly looked excellent on the gun. My grip on the firearm was unparalleled. I did find however that the granulate on these Talon grips is very coarse, much more so than the factory ones on the Sig (and I'd imagine on the new S&W Shield 45.) Carrying with them was not ideal, they would sometimes snag on my shirt or irritate my skin if I did not have an undershirt etc. I'd imagine that if you edc with them you'd have to be willing to replace quite a few otherwise good shirts, as they would wear out or fray the area they made contact with after a while. So sadly, I took them off and purchased a set of the rubber texture. As with the granulate, these were easy to apply - probably easier as the rubber is more malleable under heat. First impressions for myself and my girlfriend were that they did not look as nice as the granulate. The rubber is a slightly lighter color than the polymer, I kind of wish it was darker to be honest. The grip is not on par with the granulate, but is still greatly improved over stock. The only negative I have found (and this is with both kits) is that the textured pinky extension for the 8 round mag should really be included. I did not like that the extended magazine's texture did not match with the grip of the gun as they are basically one and the same in my hand. You can find the magazine kit separately on Amazon, but I would suggest purchasing them from Talon directly - I was able to get three of them for around $6 with free shipping. Last time I checked they were around $6 on Amazon for one.Just to sum it up:- Both are worth the money and quality control is great.- Granulate is superior but not ideal for edc, will irritate you skin and wear out you clothes unless you have a holster with a sweat shield. Would work great if you only plan on using the gun for home defense or target shooting.- Rubber is the way to go for edc, but I would recommend purchasing separately the kit to texture your 8 round magazine with the pinky extension.

Exactly what I needed.
The grip wasn't aggressive enough and this is exactly what I wanted.

Really improved the grip on my M&P Shield! The installation was easier than I thought. 100% reccomend these!
Heard about Talon Grips from a YouTube channel I like, and I'm really glad I did. When I first got my M&P Shield, the grip was really slippery in my hands, plus this was the first compact pistol I've ever owned. I put the rubberized Talon Grips on and it's made a huge difference and I feel more relaxed while shooting because I'm not white-knuckling the grip. It really stays put in my hands but it's not too rough to irritate them. The installation was easier than I thought it would be. I'm horrible at putting things like decals or cut out stickers on stuff, so I was nervous when I started getting it all lined up. I followed the included instructions very closely and it was easy to understand. I just went very slowly and got it right the first time, which for me is a miracle. I should have bought a lottery ticket that day, because seriously... I'm HORRIBLE at this kind of stuff. Along some of the lines where there are cut outs I used a a small slotted screwdriver to help guide the openings into place without stretching the rubber. Then I pressed it all down really good and used a heat gun on the lowest setting to finish it. (Held it several inches away to make sure it wasn't too hot.) Followed the directions, and everything went well! I really recommend these. Especially if you have a Shield because the grip is so slick on those.
