We used these sheet protectors on our door where the dog scratches to get out/in. We cut to size, cleaned the area, and then applied. They have been on for several weeks now and work perfectly. We got the clear ones and you can hardly tell anything is there. Highly recommend for this type use.

Preface: I bought these a while ago, maybe about a year ago, so maybe the quality of the product has changed.These lasted me about 30 seconds after leaving the house. I came back and they were torn to shreds. Maybe it's my dog (2-year-old Pit), but I was extremely disappointed. Then when I took them off the door, it ripped all of the paint off with it. I was furious. Luckily with some training, I don't need a product like this anymore, but what I wanted was to be able to use them WHILE I was training my dog to protect my doors in the meantime.Now my door and the trim are ruined, and this product cost me the original price, plus a portion of my security deposit, so thank you for that.I'd give zero stars if I could.

Overall, the product works fine on doors. Although paint did peel away from the door in question, it would be easy to paint over. We actually bought the product to protect wood windowsills that have a very light finish - the house is a rental and I wanted to protect the sills from our dogs. The previous renter left several scratches and stains from planters and cat claws and our big dogs are definitely much harder on the sills, even though they've only put paws on them once or twice.Installation was a little frustrating, as the stiffness of the roll made it difficult to line up with an edge while unrolling, and the adhesion is strong enough that uninstalling will definitely leave both door and sill surfaces in need of a significant touch-up.The test strip on the windowsill immediately pulled up finish and actual wood - it is probably a softer wood, but anyone hoping to protect a rental's wooden windowsills should not use this product - you'll just be repairing the damage done by the protector before you move out, and other DIY solutions will be less work in that regard.4/5 stars: the product works as intended, and does protect doors from big paws, at least in a short period of time. We don't have excessive scratchers so I can't speak to how well it would hold up against an agitated dog actively pawing a door multiple times a day. Installation and the fact that the product seems to cause a little damage to paint, woods, and finishes makes it a flawed solution.

Seems like very durable plastic and it did help reduce my cats scratching noise. It still didn't really work for us, his scratching still kept us up at night so we had to give up and just let him in. But after a full night's scratching the plastic wasn't damaged at all. And it really does help make it quieter. Just not quiet enough... I will also say be prepared to measure. I was a little slap dash with it and cut it to the size I thought would be right but I wasn't very exact and had to end up layering the plastic in places to cover the section I wanted. Take your time and measure and mark the plastic to cut to size before applying. Not sure about residue as I have not removed any yet. I plan on adding what is left to our bathroom door just in case.

I could not find the last product I purchased and tried this one. It did not last longer than 24 hours. Did adhesive is very poor and that tape is literally falling off my furniture.Did like the size which I could cut down to be along the base of our door, however wish it would had stayed adhered

I bought this to protect my door from potential scratches from my dog. It will not stick and will peel right away and will peel all the paint off of the door along with it. It itself made more damage than my dog would have made in the first place.This product is absolute rubbish. Please read reviews before buying.

We just had a new door installed and we have 2 dogs that tend to scratch the door when someone rings the bell. We ordered these door protectors and were able to easily install them. They look great, in fact you can hardly even tell they are on the door. I definitely recommend using the scraper (either the one that comes with it or some other type of scraper) as this will help smooth the appearance and make it look really nice. The adhesive seems to hold very well without being damaging. If you are worried, each box comes with a small sample to adhere to a test area before applying the full protector. And, most importantly, our door is well protected now! I definitely recommend this product!

Did not work. Dog ate through it. Not scratch resistant.
