Great bookshelfs, excellent cost benefit relation!
Very good soundstage and depth, very nice highs and defined mids, lows are also good but they benefit a lot with a sub, specially if you like solid bass. I compared them with my Choras and of course you can tell the difference but this ones are not getting far behind. My wife also tends to like the Chorus better, a little more warm in sound and also sensitivity is lower, so maybe she is more lean into that. After around 60 hours of usage sound really came out so definitively break in period is needed, after that they just sound incredibly good, you are kind of amaze that all that sound is coming from a small pair of bookshelfs.

Great Value True Budget Hi-fi Speakers
I Purchased this speakers long time ago due space restrictions wasn't able place them correctly apart fromeach other. At last I made new placement 4 feet between each other now this things performs as they should. Using Marantz PM 6007 Integrated Amplifier With Burr-Brown DAC Roon Player this things sounds Amazing. Imaging Soundstage Precise treble mid range crystal clear detailed overall resolution magnificent. Made in China ruined Quality. This Thing completely from scratch Made in France. From production wooden enclosures they purchasing everything from composite materials of wood from French suppliers & they own wood workshop for making MDF Enclosures, some other facility making drivers, other workshop making tweeters other crossovers. Assembly Line all in France. Quality in this thing Amazing you cannot see any glue residue anything in boxes. Due Constraint living Space I placed them close to wall they working very well. They are front ported no need to preserve space between wall. Only Downside is bottom boxes have metal rings for installing speaker mounts. This metal rings aren't closed with any rubber protective material. You have to buy separately silicon or other feet kind of rubber material stick to this metal inserts. I placed them on top of other speakers for elevation from my desk & unfortunately this metal rings inserts left a little scratch on top of my right speaker.Clarity & Detail retrieval also top notch for price point. Overall for price of 300 USD is hard to find speakers beat this ones in clarity & detail. If you music lover this things play any kind of music. For Music recommended they are exceptional speakers for true music with instruments & vocals.

Clean sounding. Good against a wall and off axis response.
There are no real sound reviews on here so hopefully this one helps. I will be comparing Focal chorus 605 to Elac Debute 2.6 since I owned both and they are in similar price range. Both speakers are musical. Elac are on a dark side laid back sounding with vocals just tad bit in front which I like. Wish vocals were more forward and that is why I purchased Focal chorus 605. However that was not the case with 605. Chorus 605 are musical as well but little bit on a dry side and vocals are about speakers plain. Not forward and not back however the whole sound spectrum is cleaner sounding. Vocals sound cleaner but also leaner. 605 has les base and body. But that is why they are easy to place against a wall. They gain some base when placed against a wall without sounding boomy. Off axis response is good on both speakers. Focal might be little bit more open sounding that Elac but the difference is small. Elac has more base and body but not as clean sounding as focal. I would go with focal if I had small room and had to place them against a wall. I would go with Elac if I had bigger room and I could properly set up the speakers. Elac sound better with leaner sounding amps while since focal are lean sounding you want an amp with some body to match them up with. I find Elac and Focal well extended but not fatiguing. Both speakers sound similar at low volume. Both speakers need to be cranked up a little to hear the punch and feel alive. Focal suppose to be higher sensitivity but both speakers sound similar at the same spl level. Focal might have better instrument separation but that might be because it is cleaner sounding. I would recommend Focal chorus 605 if you are looking for clean sounding speaker and have to place it against a wall. If you have lean sounding amp like Yamaha receiver than I would go with Elac.

Amazing bookshelf speakers made in France.
These speakers are amazing! They need a litttle space from the back wall and should be slightly toed in. All around performer, highs are tamed and transparent, and the mids are full and dynamic. They are solidly built, the slim and not so tall design makes them ideal for a living room set-up. I'm very happy with them. Thanks!

Good speakers
These speakers have very good highs and imaging is also good. Relatively small speakers 2 way five inch woofer. They're nice but consider Elac Debut B 5.2 or Debut b 6.2 also in the same price range. The Focals are a 6 ohm speaker, so take that in consideration in your search. The Focals have some contour on the sides compared to most black rectangle boxes. In the end, just a little nicer black box that sounds good.

A true audiophile speaker
These are the best speakers for the money. Since these are an older model, they are usually discounted. The speakers are made in France. They sound incredible. The bass response isn’t ideal but that’s nothing a small subwoofer couldn’t fix. For that I’d recommend the REL Tzero MKIII sub. These are a little on the bright side but never fatiguing. If you can’t find these in stock, there’s nothing in this (now discounted) price that any other speaker can compete with.Yes, I know the speakers are horizontal, my cabinet had a height restriction so I made it work.

These sound superb.
Right out of the box these speakers sound superb. I had a pair of Wharfedales that was as close to these any other I have ever owned. It may just be the combination with my integrated amp (Cambridge XA 60) and these speakers is exceptional. At any rate, these were an exceptional value for money! May have to look at their higher end models due to how amazing these sound for the money. Never had Focal’s before, but they are on my short list from here on out.
