Best Android TV box I ever bought to date!
I have bought several Android TV boxes (as gifts) and this one for myself. It is by far, my favorite! One of the greatest and most important features of this box is the ability to not overheat. I purposely kept the box on for over 24 hours and it is still only as warm as touching your skin at regular temperature. This I attribute to the many ventilation holes on both sides as well as the top of the box. (see attached photos - magnified)It was a good investment ($78.99) to purchase this Android 7.1 TV BOX Amlogic S912 Octa-core CPU DDR4 3GB RAM 32GB ROM BT 4.0 2.4/5 Dual-Band WiFi. The difference between this and a 1 or 2 GB box is easily noticeable. Smooth uninterrupted, viewing and sharp, crisp images. Here is my reason for not giving five stars. If you do not have some geek in you it might not be easy to customize the main interface. If you are familiar with the basic TV launchers, the stark difference with the interface on this box is noticed as soon as it boots up. The usual Kodi icon has been replaced with TV Center. (see attached photos)I hit pay dirt as there were no customer reviews when I took a chance and purchased this box. To sum up, it is a great box. The enclosed leaflet (moonlighting as a user guide) leaves much to be desired. You are pretty much on your own for any troubleshooting.PROS:Android 7.1 (pretty much the latest)Amlogic S912 Octa-core CPU DDR4 3GB RAM 32GB ROM BT 4.0 2.4/5 Dual-Band WiFi.Good ventilation of both sides and top of the boxWorks for a straight 24 hours without overheatingPower button on topNice looking interfaceFast – Almost no buffering (pretty much has to do with your internet speedDisplays digital clockCONS:Mainly a leaflet with minimum instructions (might run into issues if you are not geeky)Very lousy remote control (if you purchase this box, also get a mini keyboard)All that said, I find it to be a great bang for my bucks!

Excellent product. Small, powerful, well designed and assembled, solidly packaged and simple to plug in and get going.
This is an excellent product. I've used it for a few weeks now and I'm very happy. If you're a first-time Android TV box user like me, this is a good Android TV box to start with. It's small, powerful, well designed and assembled, comes in solid packaging and it's simple to plug in and get up and running. (But it doesn't look anything like the rainbow-coloured box Amazon have used in some of their advertising; it isn't a "Bomix", it's a "Tannix TX92". The box itself is charcoal-black coloured plastic all round except for the front panel display. And it has Android 7.1.2, not 6.0.) There are a number of product options to choose from - different processors, more RAM, more internal memory. The one I bought has the octa-core processor, 3G of RAM and 32G of internal memory, upgradeable with an external SD card (not provided). As Android TV boxes go, that's quite a lot of muscle, and it works just fine.On the box itself, Kodi 17.4 comes pre-loaded (although they've hidden the app's name for some strange reason, and just call it "TV") along with a bunch of other Android apps. There is a popular "build" of Kodi 17.4 called "Krypton" but that's not what you get pre-loaded on this box. If you're a prospective cord-cutter, don't throw out your cable or satellite box just yet; Kodi is now a huge and quite complicated app to set up. Even though Android 7.1.2 on this box is rooted, and the box ships with number of Kodi add-ons, you will spend a lot of time adding more Kodi add-ons and Android apps and changing settings. That's not a fault of this particular box; it's a fact of life on Kodi. There are literally hundreds of "How-to" tutorials for Kodi on Google and YouTube but it's all pretty time consuming. The end result, though, is worth the effort. If you thought your cable/sat box had a lot of channels, be prepared to be blown away!A few very minor negatives: the LED display on the front panel is a bit too bright (a few strips of sticky tape over the display fixes that) and too small to read unless you're right in front of it (you don't need to read it). The pre-loaded internet connection speed test app doesn't work properly (just download the Ookla app; that works fine). The instructions in the box tell you only how to connect up the box, switch it on, and update to the latest software release (search Google and YouTube for the rest). The IR remote control shipped with the box provides the absolute minimum control. You'll soon get frustrated with it, especially when entering URL text strings (you'll do lots of that on Kodi) so buy a full sized wireless keyboard and mouse combo at the same time you buy this (don't buy one of the cheap Chinese mini wireless mouse/track-pad combos - they're junk). If you don't already have one, you may also want to consider buying a tablet. You'll find it extremely useful to pull up all the "How-To" articles you'll need to set up Kodi on your new Android TV box while you sit in front of your TV with your keyboard in your lap. Enjoy!

Great buy for the price!
I have a Remix Mini android pc, which I currently use mainly to turn my monitor into a tv, using the cable tv app. But Jide, the company behind the Mini, stopped supporting it. And the Mini has been acting a bit flaky lately. So I thought, buying a backup android pc would be a good idea.I decided to go with this one, the TX92, because of the good specs for the price. When I received it I thought the box it came in was pretty cool. I looked over the TX92, and didn't find any AV out port which was a bummer, but I can still use a Bluetooth speaker for audio. Also after using it for several hours (which was impressive!), I began to have difficulty keeping a wifi connection; basically the unit's wifi reception isn't that good (ie Both 2.4 and 5.0 bands). Good thing I have an Edimax nano wifi usb adapter, which I used when the TX92's internal wifi adapter just wouldn't work. So I knocked off a star for these two issues; no AV out, and wifi reception issues (to compare, the Remix Mini rarely has had any wifi reception problems). But overall, the TX92 is well worth the $78 I paid for it.

The unit I received is not the advertised unit (and because I waited to long, i cant return it).I received a "TX92-LP". What this means is that its the same specs as the real TX92, except it uses DDRLP3 ram.For speed dont worry, ddr3 vs ddr4 on a little android box wont matter. However, the problem comes when you want to update the box, you cant use the TX92 firmware as it was made for DDR4 ram.

This is (like most android boxes on the market) a cheap quality version of a NVidia Shield TV box & it shows when you compare the two but (at half the cost) the price sort of reflects that. What is worse, is that the merchant seems to not be very knowledgeable about their products.
