Just like the description says this is a great fun novelty toy for a kiddo! I love the option to do batteries or plug in with the USB cord. I personally prefer to plug it in b/c batteries didn't last too long and the brightness is much better with the plug. The size is great for a kiddo and not too big where it makes it awkward to put it on anything, think size of a snow globe. It looks. Ice, a black tiered stand with a clear sturdy globe on top. If you are looking for a fun nostalgic toy for a kiddo, this is a great option!

Got this for a toddler, and seeing it's a great cause and affect toy tor his age, and likely a great toy for older then toddler age.Works and built well. just note the Ball part is made of glass.

I bought this as a christmas present for my daughter, and it lasted almost 6 months. It fell off a coffee table (not too high up) and shattered.. but she enjoyed her time and had fun with it while it lasted!With this model you can use with batteries or plugged in. When you plug it in, it is way more vibrant than just having batteries. I think it is a fair price, but arrived smaller than expected, and much more fragile than others I have purchased from Spencer's gifts.Overall I would recommend for an older child, teen, or adult.. I was mistaken when I thought it would be durable enough for a young child (Lol) It was loved and will be missed!

So since we saw one of these (obviously much bigger) at the museum our son has been wanting one. Luckily amazon to the rescue because the asking price at the museum for one this size was NUTS.-While I did appreciate the option for batteries to make it portable, when you use batteries (even fresh ones) it is not very bright.-When you plug it in though it is very bright and made for a very happy kiddo.-Okay to me it was kind of a duh but anyway if they leave their hand/finger in a spot too long it will get HOT. LOL Which I thought was great because “Yeah, I know Mom!” but just be aware.So far this is holding up pretty good to normal use and for the price I paid (about half currant price on sale, and don’t use batteries) this is great.

NO STARS!!! This product has extremely thin glass the broke easily. Very dangerous for children! Luckily, no one was hurt as there were adults in the room to see it shatter.I want a refund and believe I deserve one. Crappy, dangerous product. Don't buy it!

Cool toy, but fragile. Not safe around small children, my one year old pulled it down from a table and the glass ball shattered into the tiniest pieces. It was cool, but I would not buy another. Much cheaper compared to buying it in a giftshop somewhere.

My kids have loved playing with this! We turn off all the lights and play with it, and my kids have spent so much time with it, and my son insists it is in his room while he sleeps.
