Large A23 size, glass bulb. Soft white color similar to incandescent in an LED. Turn a screw in base to choose brightness level before you screw in the bulb. Not to be confused with a 3 way bulb, it does not work in 3-way lamps and it does not work with a dimmer. I installed it in my front yard light pole set it to the brightest 300W equivalent setting. The additional brightness improves the video of my security camera.

It's a big, SUPER bright bulb, exactly as described. Definitely recommend the 1600-3000-4000 lumen version (100-200-300W), as theres not much perceiveable difference between 1600 lumens and 3000 lumens, but there certainly is from 1600 to 4000. This thing is perfect for people like me who can't install reccessed can lighting and instead must use things like floor lamps in my home work space. Turning this thing on is similar to opening blackout curtains from a window during mid-day, love it.

The three brightness settings are set by a switch in the base of the bulb. They are not suitable for use in a three-way lamp socket.

Very nice large glass bulb. No plastic.It is a LED filament light bulb, but it is frosted glass so you cannot see the filaments.Metal contact in the base has 3 positions for 4000-3000-1600 Lumen brightness and 28W-20W-16W energy usage. You can adjust the brightness of the bulb with a handy little dial at its base before you install it into your light fixture. Phillips is a trusted name and this is a product feature that may have its pros for when shopping for a light bulb. If you walk into a light bulb isle in any store you are met with so many choices it can sometimes be overwhelming just to find the exact bulb you are looking for. In come this bulb that lets you buy one bulb but gives you multiple options for what brightness you want to set it too. Great idea, long lasting LED, functional for single switch operations.

Very disappointing. The bulb stopped working within 30 days. It was very expensive, too. I didn’t return on time because of my busy schedule… either way, very upset with this purchase.
