Q: Can this be returned as there are no pictures? It sounds like what i want but what exactly are speed lacers? Does this wrap around the ankle?

When I tried to return a wrap, they merely sent me a new one. I still have the one that was the wrong model/size. Speed laces involve velcro tabs that hold the ends of the laces, so that there is nothing to tie. You pull the tabs which wrap around your ankle to tighten the laces. The model I have, also has 2 straps that wrap around the ankle and a band around the top. All of this gives me a pretty snug fit that helps me walk and minimizes the continuous arthritic discomfort.

Q: Is there a left and right?

It's designed for either left or right.
