AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED LITHIUM BATTERIES ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO, FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS I WONT GET INTO...... The Lithium Batteries actually do last 2 to 3 times longer.
I started putting the date on the new batteries when I put them in the remote control (to my T.V.) so I know how long they actually last. Normal batteries lasted 6-7 weeks. It seems like I was always changing batteries. The lithium batteries lasted a bit over 4 months (17 weeks) with a remote control that gets constant use, changing channels and scrolling up and down continuously, all day long. These do last 2 to 3 times longer just like they advertise. The Lithium Batteries do cost more, but the cost averages out since you do not have to change them nearly as often. It is worse it to use these in the appliances that you use the most.
