The notebook is the best of its type in my opinion. The A5 size suits me, there are a lot of pages, the gridded paper (while it may not be as good as it was 5 or 10 years ago) is still fountain pen friendly, with some ghosting but no bleed-through. The vendor kept their promise of speedy delivery and the notebooks arrived undamaged. What more could you ask?

I tried using this organizer years ago but couldn't get into it. This time I'm ready to commit to using it. It's well laid out. I created a system of how I would use each section of this organizer. It totally helped me stay committed to using it. The best thing is the paper. It's so thin but durable. I can use fountain pens, mechanical pencils and watercolor on it. No problem. I can put stickers on it. Also no problem. I really enjoy the paper which is the reason I went back to this organizer.

This is my go to planner right now, this is a plain A5 size notebook with Tomoe River paper (this paper is wonderfully light, and able to handle a LOT). For those that use fountain pens, this notebook is a no brainer. I really love the size of this notebook, the thought and design that went into this. If you like the Hobonichi brand, but have trouble with the ‘daily’ page layout, this blank notebook might be a better version if you prefer more blank space for personalization.Pros:- Hobonichi is a company I trust, the quality is unrivaled- Tomoe river paper, feels super light and handle a lot of moisture and ink on the page- Fountain pens have minimal bleed through and ghosting- This notebook has about 4 sections, the distinction is very subtle, the color of the graph squares changes (pink, blue, green, purple), you can see this is the last two photos I posted to see the subtlety- Really small squares with the graph paper, I haven’t seen any notebook that has squares this small, ideal for writing tons!- The notebook feels really compact, doesn’t feel heavy to carry around on the go at allCons:- You probably want a clear plastic cover to avoid the corners getting bent, I use a plastic cover used for most A5 notebooks and it works greatNot many cons!! Overall still 5/5 stars

even though the pages are thin, there is very little bleed thru. I use dark markers/pens and water colors. I'm happy with it.

I wanted a book with Tamoe River paper that didn’t have any type of marking us on it and this is definitely it. I love that the pages a separated and blocks of four with different colors to keep them together. Hobonichi for the win.

This notebook fits nicely into both a Midori A5 paper cover and a Hobonichi A5 cover with CoC as seen in the image. I love the flexibility the graph notebook offers for me to set up my own planner layout, calendar, and pages. The paper accepts most of my fountain pens, gouache, and poscas with only the normal shadowing. If the paper quality remains, I will buy this again in the future.

Was looking for good non diary non prompt fountain pen paper and happy with this.Ink smudges a bit more than on my lochby tomoe river paper but ink looks beautiful on this paper. Color stands out and sheen is seen. Love my handwriting on this and the smoothness of the writing. Paper won’t bleed and can hold ink very well.

Great product. I use it for sketches, project notes and miscellaneous thoughts. I mostly write with fountain pens, the high quality paper is executor that use.
