Good but needs a different mount
This item is pretty good it holds my canon camera with ease but I had to buy a seperate mount to hold the camera. As the plastic one feels cheap and might come loose I didn’t trust it. Feel free to use it though.

Item delivered in inoperable order.
This is an awesome brand for everything… sadly, this item didn’t make the cut. Let’s hope it’s a one off thing.

Great product
I am using the desk mounts for lights and iPhone and they are great. I haven’t tried with a heavier camera yet but expect I will in the future. I’m impressed with the product.

TLDR: Don't but if it you have expensive gear. Just yikes.
I want to preface this with a few key bits of information. I have purchased hundreds of dollars in Smallrig items and never had an issue. Ironically enough,, I think this issue wasn't much worse, thanks in part to a small rig cage that is made well. But this HAS to be the last thing I buy from them in my mind.I purchased this desk mount for $31. Not the cheapest, but truly not expensive. I checked the manual after my issue to ensure I was using the item as instructed, and this was not a user error. I could not find a cause on my end, which leads me to believe it's the product. Not once but twice, the tension mounting element had become too loose and dropped a $3500 camera, $1000 lens, and accessories 4 feet to the ground. As of now, the only damage I can observe is cosmetic, and I am not aware of lost functionality, but the simple risk of spending 32 bucks rather than a high-end solution, with the risk of losing thousands of dollars, makes it not worth it.Don't buy it.
