Update 2, August 19: Dehumidifying still working as it should - yay! - and the pump feature is working as intended also.As others noted and I mentioned previously, the fan runs 24/7 even when the unit reaches the desired humidity level.I set up schedules to turn the unit on/off at set times so it was not running continuously and that worked - briefly.Unfortunately, the scheduling feature stopped working after a few days and because the unit will not stay connected to WiFi I cannot turn it on and off using the app on my phone so I need to go down to the basement - which kind of defeats the purpose of having the pump and the Smart features.I have gone through the reconnect process several times and each time it fails to stay connected. That is an issue because all of the cool features are no longer available and I have to manually turn it on and off to give it a rest because it doesn’t shut off when reaching target humidity.I will call the company and see what they have to say. Little sorry I bought this one.Update 1: I had read in a couple of reviews that the unit does not turn off when it reaches its target humidity level and I have found this to be true. I think the dehumidifying feature shuts off but not the fan which runs continuously. That doesn’t make sense to me but I set up a scheduled “On Time” and scheduled “Off Time” and that has solved the problem. The humidity is under control now so I simply run for a specific number of hours each day to maintain it.Wish the unit would shut off once reaching target but this is a good work-around.Original Post:Well-designed, compact unit that does everything I need.It does generate some heat - as all units do - but I found it to be rather quiet and not at all loud as some reviewers mentioned.I am using it in a small, newer concrete basement (14x40) in a very wet location with a small pond right behind the cabin.I got the one with the pump so I don’t need to empty the bucket and because I am using below grade and the continuous drain mode is not an option. It isn’t complicated to set up but it is a little hard to decipher the instructions needed to do so properly. The manual contains everything needed so read it though carefully before starting to ensure you know where all the components are and you understand the steps. After that it only takes a couple of minutes to complete. The only problem I encountered is that I cannot drain directly outside as I intended because I live in a northern state and the line will freeze causing issues in the winter.I am working on a permanent solution but for now I am pumping into a separate five-gallon bucket so I can use it and test its functionality. As recommended in the manual I ran it on continuous mode, high fan setting for more than 24 hours during which time the humidity dropped from 74% to between 42 and 45%, the cube bucket filed to capacity and then pumped into the secondary bucket I’m using temporarily - so it seems to be working exactly as designed.I have only had it a few days so I know nothing about longevity but I am pleased that it is working as I had hoped and is appropriate for my application.I do recommend it for anyone with a similar need to mine.

Quiet! Nice design, not too large
I purchased the "35 pint" model with pump. So far it has been running continuously in my large, stand-up crawl space. The crawl space is also my storage and workshop area. Humidity in the space was running around 68% and temperature in the low 60s. This is summer, in southern WA state.I did not set up the pump yet, and have only run it in standalone mode. So far I have emptied the bucket three times and it has warmed the area a few degrees and pulled the humidity down to 44%. The unit turned on with a default "high" fan speed, and I don't really notice any noise from the compressor - only the fan. It is so quiet that I don't really hear it unless I walk over toward the unit. It would definitely be quiet enough to use in a living area. The package is compact but substantially heavy. When the bucket needs to be emptied, the unit will shut off and display a code. There is also a sight glass where one can see the water level in the bucket. The top part with all the hardware needs to be lifted up and set down. It will leave some water on whatever it is set down upon, so have a towel handy if it matters. The top part has a good handle but it might be too heavy for some folks. The bottom part is just a bucket. It also has a good handle, and comes with optional casters. When full it weighs about as much as the top part - which again will a bit much for some. I assume that the weights would scale up for the 50 pint model, so take heed. Configuring the unit to pump out automatically, or drain by itself would be ideal where practical.Part of the reason that I did not configure the pump option is that the instructions and pictures are pretty small. Enlarging everything and expanding on the instructions would be much appreciated. There was a code that can be scanned for further detail or perhaps some videos. I did not try that ...All in all, I would have to say that I am happy with how well and quietly this works, and at a very reasonable price. It exceeded my expectations, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Excellent unit
I waited a couple of months before writing a review. My unit has performed very well. You can set the fill amount, which I had to do after throwing my back out the first time I tried to empty it. I now have it set to full half way and it turns off, waiting for me to dump it (use the water to water your plants, or dump in thr washing machine if it's in the basement). You can program it for percent of humidity although for my summer, it's runs non-stop in my drafty house near a river. Some people have mentioned the noise level. All humidifiers make noise. It's a motor. I've probably owned 5-6-they are all equally loud. You get used to it. Some reviews mentioned it makes a very loud noise. My unit did this once-the first time is was getting close to being full-and it hasn't done it since. It has a beep alert when it is full, but for me, that usually happens overnight and I sleep through it (and also don't care-i empty it in the morning). The wheels for the collection tub are very useful, as are the sturdy handles for both the too and the tub. This can be set up for auto-drain if you have access to a floor drain, or mount it over a sink (it is very heavy-see specs). I do not find the water-fill view window useful-it is too dark to see through, but since it has auto-shut off, it isn't necessary anyway.I would definitely purchase this again if needed and the black one was an excellent price point.
