Such a captivating read from the first page. The book really spells out what love is and why we as humans want it. It has really helped me evaluate my relationships with friends, family and partners in the past but also how to see love differently in the future. I read this book in a matter of days and don’t get me wrong it doesn’t make you Casanova but it will give you a greater understanding of what love really is.

I have just completed Closer to Love which I was lucky enough to receive an early edition and now my journey to experience the fullness and richness of love in every situation has begun. What a gift to the world, Vex writes so beautifully taking the reader through a journey with his own authenticity and vulnerability woven through the pages and sharing the thoughts that we all have gone through in our love lives conscious or not. Bringing us back to the source the last few chapters (specifically chapter 7-11) is where I felt most in tune. I turned the last page with a smile on my face, like gods ray's were beaming from a sun that was re-lit within. I finished the book feeling empowered, not many books can do that. It is authentic, practical, real, insightful, non bias and whole. It is for those who want to understand why and where their views on love come from, so much more than just a relationship but Everything that love is as so many of us get confused with the object in love, myself included, and forget our source . I learnt the importance of boundaries, filling myself up , being whole within myself before I enter anything with anyone else and not feeling the guilt of putting oneself first. Such simple truths told in the most profound way with changes we can actually make. I've read almost every book on love and the best allude to its essence its pure, unconditional, a gift that keeps on giving and its all from within. Closer to Love is a wonderful well written book and no doubt will be a gem on everyones bookshelves. I will be returning to this book whenever my consciousness, or as Vex says , my vibrations needs reminding of who I am.

You might be familiar with a handful of concepts and matters that the book mentions, and you might learn other new things. What I like is this book mentions a lot yet very briefly, which is enough for what you need to know. A few examples and critical questions, along with very insightful self-discovery idealogy, all are very helpful in nurturing yourself as a person, and the quality of relationships you currently have or will attract in the future. Great idea to gift to someone you care about too

Being the third book of the series, it is perfect but recommend the other 2 before this one.

He’s done it again! In an age when people want everything now..these lessons should be taught in schools. A practical approach to a difficult subject. You'll reread this book several times and learn something new each time. One of the best books I've ever read on love and relationships. It also applies to all types of relationships, not just romantic ones. The book is split into three parts 1. The Self: explores role you play in your connections and is an opportunity to understand yourself by going back to the first exchange of love you had with your caregivers. 2. Together: gives insight into how to foster meaning and mindful relationships with others. 3. Love: teaches the fundamentals of authentic unconditional love. Although the author prefers to name is wholehearted love. This book essentially takes you on a journey while leaving the big decisions up to you as you gain self-awareness. The only disadvantage is that if you're a Vex King reader, this may be longer than his usual work, but give it time and don't skip a page. You are guaranteed to learn something valuable.

This book is incredible. It made me realise what type of person I am in relationships based on my childhood experiences and attachment types…which I did not know was possible. If you want to find out more about yourself and what type of person you are in a relationships then please read. I am also very impressed with how easy it is to read and understand. Very happy and would 100% recommend!!

This book is a great read. It focuses on the really simple things to make the greatest changes in your life. I’ve read Vex King’s previous books as well and again, he doesn’t disappoint. Would definitely recommend this book.

I read Good Vibes Good life and loved it so I HAD to read Closer to love. Being single at the moment after a 20-year-old relationship, this book really helped me comprehend my attachment style and how to know myself and my needs better.
