Love it!!!
There were some products out there that have real grass for dogs and I initially wanted that. Then I thought about buying real grass from Home Depot or somewhere but they were out of season, which I’m glad in retrospect cause this works better than expected!I had tried dog litter with pine pellets and then kitty litter but she didn’t take to it at all. I wanted to not rely so much on puppy pads as I read the fastest way to bathroom train is without the pads, so we use them sparingly.I was getting pretty exasperated because I got an older puppy who wasn’t trained at all, until I got the idea to get this artificial grass. She almost immediately went on it, so that’s how I knew it was the right purchase and it provided so much relief in the puppy training process cause I was starting to get high level anxiety around it and this idea really saved the day.Because my new pup had only just received her 1st round of vaccines, the Vet recommended she still be kept away from other dogs and not go outside until she is fully vaccinated, so going outside to potty train wasn’t an option.Plus, we live in an apartment so there is no access to a private backyard and this grass is so convenient. In actuality, even when she’s fully vaccinated, we won’t have a need to have to go out to the main grass area especially in the Winter, because we have this now so it’s perfect. Then there was a windy storm that blew up leaves so now it’s really more like the real ground. You do need to put puppy pads underneath to absorb the pee. Some other reviews noted it smelling. I don’t use it indoors only outdoors on the balcony, so perhaps that’s why we have zero smell.I would suggest keeping some of their poop on it and not exchanging the pee pads out so quickly, as other reviewers noted swapping out their pees pads everyday, but being that she’s still in the learning process, I extend out the time of clean up and swapping out for fresh puppy pads so her scent is in the grass and she’s more attracted to it.She’s doing pretty well, not fully trained yet but she’s learning and this helps so much more than the other methods we tried. Plus, it looks so much like a real patch of grass!Highly recommend, it’s worth the money!

Got it for my dog for potty training outside and it did the trick! Product looks just like online. Price was good for the size.

A MUST HAVE FOR APARTMENTS!!
I live in a 3rd-floor walk up, in Sacramento. I JUST adopted a precious Pitty (40lbs of love). I forgot that dogs aren’t real keen on walking upstairs. My bad!If you have adopted a puppy in the past, you know that there is about a three week transition period. This means the dog is probably going to mark territory and be off schedule for bathroom breaks. Well, I am a pretty petite woman. And carrying my puppy (She a full-grown dog. But, all dogs are puppies to me.) up three flights of stairs is no joke. I was quite concerned on how to make sure my dog had enough bathroom breaks outside without killing my back. Did I mention I’m 59 years old?Out of desperation, I realized all I needed to do was go on Amazon and solve the problem. This product is a godsend! No other words are adequate enough to express how much this product has saved my life - as my back tends to go out under stress.I read the reviews by others to make an informed decision on how to best use the product. YOU MUST BUY SOMETHING TO ABSORB THE PEE BELOW THE GRASS! You really can’t use this product on your patio without a waterproof base. So, I purchased scented pee pads.Getting her to go the first time was a bit tricky because both the grass and the pee pads were new. It didn’t have her scent or any other dog’s scent. So, my best recommendation is to: have your dog drink LOTS of water; wait about 10 minutes or less; take your dog out to the grass; introduce them; and, patiently wait for them to do what’s normal - pee.The first time was hard. The second time was a little easier. The third time was a charm!HUGE RECOMMENDATION! Don’t change the pee pads for about two days. The dog needs to smell their scent until they are fully programmed to understand they can pee on the grass on your patio as well as be taken for walks.I categorically recommend this product. I wanted to buy natural grass, which I’ve done in the past. But, that gets ridiculously expensive. When I found out all I had to do was put the grass strip in the tub, scrub some soap and water on it, hang it to dry and put it back out on the patio, I pulled out the credit card real fast! Now all I have to do is take her out twice a day, after each feeding, because I don’t want her to use it to poop. I don’t recommend you having your dog poop on the grass, unless you’re willing to sanitize and clean it every day. I can only imagine that the smell alone is not good. And, it would definitely create a swarm of flies. And that’s just a level of nasty and gross one should never have close to their home.BRAVO to whoever came up with this concept! I am SOLD!

Not smell proof, but has potential
While it’s visually obvious that they are turf, they are still aesthetically pleasing. The smell was not pleasant after about a week, but we have three huge male dogs — so this might be inevitable with any product. They are heavy duty and seem like they would have held up well if the smell didn’t cause such a problem for us. It might also be better if you have access to a hose and can wash them down frequently as water and urine does pass through the product as described.

Need to start early in age to get your dog accustomed to using this.
Not quite sure that's fair. Grass strip is as expected. My dog just won't use it. A waste of money for me.

Very happy with this product
We have this grass set up on our patio and it has held up really well through the intense summer heat and rain. It doesn’t shed and it stays vibrant and green. Would really recommend this to anyone.

Rev.Mr.Clay LaFerrys dog poop area!
Works good if you put some starter poop to give them the grass first then the pets get the idea of a bathroom stop!
