I realize that the suggested age on this is higher, but these were a request for a birthday present from a young boy. I have extensive experience with drones I was really looking forward to this.I unboxed them and charged them and gave each a "shakedown" flight to ensure there was no problems. Boxed back up and wrapped - so much fun!! Can't wait to fly with kid!The 7yo has great motor skills for his age and controlling the drone was a breeze. It has several features which make it ideal for younger children. The fact that it will auto launch and hover are great! The altitude hold aspect where all the kid has to do is steer around (up and down if they want to) is great. Couple in 3 different speeds and a button that triggers flips in all directions when flying. Wow!!The drone has literally no mass - it was flying full speed into things and nothing was damaged (not it, or the lamps...). Hair is a big thing to avoid though - when you fly it into a womans long hair and the motors and blades twist the hair up, ouch!!I can fly it around in the house and it is a blast - I don't think it is appropriate for outdoors as it is too light and not built for the dirty environment. I bought the 2 pack and the extra batteries and a game changer!I have recommended this to my coworkers, friends, you name it. Two thumbs up here - I'll try get a video and update!

These are such a cool introduction to drones! They are very easy to use and my 6yo learned very quick how to control these, and do the tricks! Here are my observations, pros and cons:Pro's- Quick learning curve- Fun with a friend!- Durable! Comes with some spare parts.- Quick charging timeCon's- Poor battery life- Requires a LOT of trimming to hover (every flight)- Complex pairing to controller, can be confusingOverall, I'm super happy with this purchase and out of all of the drones we've had come through our home, these ones get the most use! We would buy these for anyone wanting to learn drone flying basics!

First of all, I was a little hesitant when I saw the product was recommended for older children. But you know what? My boys handled them like pros right from the start! The initial instructions were easy to follow, and they quickly got the hang of it. It's amazing how fast kids can pick up technology these days!We've been using these drones as a fun way to teach them STEM concepts. They don't even realize they're learning because they're having so much fun flying these little machines around. They're learning about physics, aerodynamics, and problem-solving without even realizing it! It's like stealth education.We have not had them that long and we limit the time that they used them, so I am not sure about durability but so for so well.

My son loved them but winded up returning them . The battery life is TRASH ! Like badddddddd full charge just to die in 4 minutes mid flight .Other than that it was a good item it was stable , had some speed that was suitable for my 4 year old and small enough for his little hands but big enough to make them feel like they have a serious toy lol

I've flown a lot of you drones over the years and I can honestly say that these have been favorite so far. For a toy drone these are surprisingly stable and can maintain altitude fairly well. On the high speed setting they are also pretty quick and nimble. Compared to other toy drones they are also fairly quiet.The land mode on these is pretty cool however it can only go forward so if you get stuck youll have to go pick it up.The material seems to be a pretty thin cheap plastic, but it keeps the drone light and is surprisingly durable, I've crashed these things many times without any noticeable damage. The ducted blades on these are also great for indoor flight and bumping into things. You don't have to worry about any furniture or anything getting broken or scratched by the blades. They also protect the blades pretty well so you shouldn't have to change out the blades very often. If you do break some, each drone comes with a full set of 4 replacement blades (2 counterclockwise and 2 clockwise)The battery life is decent. You get probably 8-10 minutes of flight time on a battery which about average. They do come with 2 batteries for each drone so a total of 4 if you get the two pack.The controls are pretty standard. The stability of the drone and the different speed settings make it easy for anyone to fly.I highly recommend these drones. They've really impressed me and I'm sure anyone flying them will have a lot of fun with it.
