Robust, easy to assembled and great looking
Great product. Purchased this to take on the road. 5 minutes to assemble needing no tools thanks to the quick release fixings and built like a tank. It's heavy when assembled but that isn't a criticism, it only adds to the quality. Feels like it will withstand a good few years of service. Easily fits into the boot of a car when disassembled, although doesn't come with a carry case.Adjusting the height is a little tricky, but you probably only have to do this once realistically, not enough to lose even half a star.Very impressed with this overall, well worth the money.

Pictures don’t tell all
The product arrives without assembly instructions or even how to find them. It’s far from obvious how the bits fit together. There’s a piece of paper with a phone number inside. They directed me to a YouTube video which has assembly info. Couldn’t they have just included the url on the paper and saved me a call?Once assembled it’s as it looks in the photo. But it’s horribly wobbly, it sways side to side and no amount of foot adjustment and tightening of bolts changed that. At the price point they ought to be rock solid. Sorry, but it’s poor value.

Perfect!
Fits together very well, not fully up in photo as I haven’t attached the stand for the laptop yet, but perfect in every way. Only thing that would be great is if it came with the travel bag.

Not worth the money
If this desk was £50 then you might let its terrible build quality go - However, at £150+ it’s shockingly bad. Scratched, bent, wobbly and missing welding on the laptop stand so it sits wonky. Wherever Gorilla got this made truly doesn’t care what crap they are churning out for a quick buck. Only reason I kept it was I had an event the next day and needed a table! I had kept all the packaging after reading previous bad reviews (I took a chance) but in the end it’s just the hassle of retuning such a big/heavy item that means I still have it.Will have to cut the bracing bar bolts down as they are too long to screw up tight and will take the laptop stand to a nearby welding repair shop to get fixed. In short, it’s not what you expect from Gorrila who ‘were’ considered good quality, solid, well-made equipment manufacturers - Someone has taken their eye off the ball somewhere. It stands up, you can place equipment on it ignoring the wobble, you can’t see the scratches in the dark and just convince yourself you only spent £50 in it to make it all seem better - that’s the best I can say about it

So far so good
The final piece missing from my DJ set up was a decent table to place my controller (FLX4) and laptop so I was delighted to see the DS1 at such a reasonable price. I did not know exactly what to expect given some of the mixed reviews but am now pleased I went ahead with the purchase. The product arrived on time and there is a very useful video on YouTube that the manufacturer, Gorilla have uploaded. This provides a very useful guide on how to assemble, although you will have to pause it as it is quite fast. Without this, I may have struggled as the instructions provided in the box were not very clear.I didn't require any tools and the screws provided were easy to use without spanners or screwdrivers.Once set up, I was delighted by how sturdy it was as some of the reviews suggested otherwise. I guess it might depend on the size of controller you want to use, but I'm sure it would be suitable for controllers bigger than my Pioneer FLX4 which is relatively small. The table top and the extension for the laptop are both very spacious and there is a gap at the back of the table to keep all your cables neat and tidy. The height adjustment for the table legs is a bit fiddly, but would only have to be adjusted once before setting up.Unfortunately, the table does not fold down (like a workbench) and you would have to disassemble parts if you wanted to transport it to a gig, but again, this would not require a great deal of effort.Aesthetically, it does look the part and really complements the DJ gear and allows for a much more comfortable position to do your DJing.

Poor quality
Arrived with dents, scratches and bent out of shape parts. Also the stand isn’t even stable it wobbles very easily. The price definitely doesn’t match quality of this stand, it didn’t even come with instructions which you would think is a bare minimum for something you have to build yourself.

Excellent for my speakers, laptop and mixer controllers. Adjustable for sitting or standing while mixing. Very sturdy and easy to assemble in 5 minutes.
