I'm not a professional cook and cannot attest to how this stands up to daily use. I bought this to transport my own knives when I plan to cook while staying at vacation rentals. Having stayed in enough places where the kitchen knives were dull and dangerous, bringing my own well-maintained knives seemed to be the best solution. This knife roll is just the right size for the basic kit that I bring: 8-inch chef's knife, serrated bread knife, paring knife, honing steel, Y-peeler, Microplane, and kitchen shears. Blade guards are highly recommended, which are a separate purchase.

I purchased this for a friend. Writing a review immediately upon receipt of your purchase is only good for initial impressions and not actual use. Use of the product is the only way to get a more accurate review. With that said my friend pretty much said she can't say much since she hasn't had time to actually use it. She did give me her initial impressions that it seems durable and should do what she wants it to do, which is keep her and her hands safe when she takes her knives on vacation with her.

I got it when I first started working on kitchens, and they last me for a bit. I would recommend if you think something on a budget and when you have the money slowly build your chef knife collection that you will need in the industry! good luck and I'm proud of all of you young cooks out there,

I use this for carrying my knives back and forth from my job in a kitchen. I use the small slots in the flap for my sharpies and I really like the sleeve for my steel. The 6 slots hold all the knives I would need to use on any given day and they all have plenty of space. The bag is very durable and I don’t foresee it falling apart anytime soon. Overall this is the perfect compact knife roll bag I was looking for. I still have a much larger bag for the rest of my tools but this is great for bringing the essentials back and forth.

(This is Phil's wife) I actually just needed something to store a couple of knives and utensils for when we have an office lunch. I put everything in, it didn't quite zip after that, but stored perfectly in a file drawer(with the divider pushed all the way back) where I keep party supplies. This will only be carried to the break room and back to my office, so it's perfect for what I need. Don't have to worry about slicing my hands when I reach in there anymore, and I can quickly see where they all are stowed, dust free.

This is a great improvement on my homemade cardboard sleeves I was using. Nice thick material and craftsmanship. I transport my knives on fishing and hunting trips and this will make that a lot more convenient. The shoulder strap is nice with heavy duty clips but I doubt I ever use it. I received a 10 per cent discount after the purchase if I wanted to buy their knife sleeves and I did it. They were of excellent quality too so was glad I got them. I was not disappointed with either purchase. Great value too.

Seems to be well manufacturered. I don't agree that this is a 6 blade and a steel case. Sure you can fit 6 blades and a steel but you can't come close to closing the pack. It's a decent pack but it's really more of a 5 blade and a steel pack.

I work in a buffet at a casino. I use knives daily...all day, cutting massive amounts of fruits and vegetables. The knives they provide are basic and everyone uses them daily as well. Most of the knives are misused and are very dull. So I bought a new starter set of knives for my job. I needed something to put them in, so I bought this Chef knife roll bag, and I LOVE it!!!!! It's the perfect size for my knives. It keeps my knives organized and safe and it's easy to carry, easy to access. Awesome roll bag! Worth every penny!!
