Is there a transparent film on the top??

Hi, the carbon one don't have transparent film, gloss black film has transparent film on the top.

Some reviews say this is not sticking, maybe not enough heat is being used, how much heat should be used as I have an adjustable heat gun.

Depends on what material you’re sticking to. Also clean the surface properly with alcohol not sure which one or use a good degreaser. Wouldn’t need heat to stick. I only heated to get round corners
