Excellent quality which will last and last!
Fantastic quality and less than the Industry version but still 5 ply. Has a shiny handle instead, which just add more sparkle. Perfect size for making rice or risotto for several people. The lid fits perfectly and creates a good seal.

Absolute perfection! Superbly designed saucier that will last a lifetime!
I do not have enough words in my vocabulary to properly pay tribute to the excellence of this saucier pan! There is clearly nothing that could be improved in the design or its functional use. It is phenomenally Great!Perfectly sized with a properly curved interior bottom that allows for proper stirring or whisking without leaving clumps at the corners. Stainless steel also lets you use metal cooking tools without worrying about damage. Some of its superior features include:1. The handle is WELDED to the pan, not attached by rivets or screws. This leaves the inside of the pan completely smooth, with no danger of food particles getting trapped in rivet covers where bacteria could fester.2. 5-ply construction that extends all the way to the rim, keeping equal heating throughout the entire pan, not just from the bottom. 5-ply is also lighter than 7-ply and makes the pot easier to handle...especially when the pan is full of material.3. The lid has been designed by Demeyere to fit ALL their products with the same rim diameter...PERFECTLY! This is great because I have their 9.5" 7-ply fry pan that is the same size, and the lid fits like a glove! Awesome!4. Cleaning the pot is simple, and while it may be dishwasher-safe, we clean and dry it by hand. If necessary, we use a simple light scrubbing power like Barkeepers Friend to bring the pot back to looking like new...EVERY TIME!Making a roux in this Saucier is a dream come true. In the few days I've had this, I have made all 4 common roux's to freeze and store for later use in various soups and gravies. The pan functioned better than any other I have EVER used, and I'm thrilled to have it in my kitchen. This saucier is often rated by professional culinary testers as the second best saucier on the market, just behind the La Creuset that is more than two times more costly and functions equally with the Demeyere.I can't recommend this Saucier highly enough! It is truly a fantastic pan, from a great company, and one that I expect to last for my lifetime! HAPPY!!!

Perfect
This pan is perfect for cooking and finishing pasta. It’s deep and wide enough for that without water boiling over the stove. I let the pasta and sauce sit in the pan with a lid on and soak in for about 10 minutes, came out delicious.

Fantastic, I use this saucier the most of of all my pots and pans!
I like this so much, now I'm back looking for a second one but maybe a little smaller. I don't want to have an unnecessary amount of pots and pants, and this one is useful for so many things, so it's totally worth it in my opinion!

This is a big, heavy pan
I purchased this pan after owning and loving a Demeyere saute pan. I have no doubt it's a great pan if it suits your needs, but I didn't realize just how big and heavy this particular pan would be. Someone referred to it as a wok in the reviews, and I think that's a pretty accurate description. I was looking for something smaller and will be returning it. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I feel at this size and weight, it should have a helper handle. That said, I love Demeyere's rivetless design. It makes it easy to cook and clean without getting gunk in the grooves of rivets. The lid fits perfectly, although be careful setting it down on a glasstop stove with condensation on it. I did that with my saute pan lid and struggled to break the suction.

Becoming my “Go to” pan.
After debating between the 5-Plus (5-ply) or an Atlantis or Silver7 (7-ply) decided to go with the 5-Plus and am very happy with my decision. The great Amazon price helped. :-)The 7-ply Demeyere pans can get heavy so getting the 5-ply helps on weight, especially with a full pot. Even though the 5-ply is lighter, this is still a hefty pan.Living up to its name of a Saucier, the curved bottom works great with wisks and no rivets to slow you down when making a sauce. Because of the large size if your sauce needs room to foam or expand, there is plenty of room for it to do so without spilling out of the pan. And, of course, there is the famous, even heating a Demeyere pan offers.Demeyere currently has two 5-ply lines, this 5-Plus and the Industry5. The 5-Plus has smooth, shiny handles and the Industry5 has rougher, shot-blasted handles. I prefer the smooth handles of this 5-Plus, but if you are looking for a grippier surface consider the Industry5 version.Bought these pinch-style silicone pot holders to help when a helper handle is needed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071K8NYMX/.

Nothing to not like
I can't find anything about this little pot to not like. It heats well, cooks well, cleans easier than a lot of stainless... there's just nothing to get upset about. The contours seemed like they would be nice, but in reality they are so much nicer than you would think. I've seen this style of pot called an "everyday pan" by others, and that is what I would call this shape. You could use this for almost anything every day, and I did for a few weeks just to test it. I have a much too large kitchen set to just have one pot, but if I did, this would probably be that one pot. No exaggeration there, this pot really is that useful.Use less than medium heat on a modern gas stove. Otherwise you will be burning things to it. Just let it heat up for a few minutes, oil it, then start tossing things in it.
