For the price this bulb is great. I have bought over a dozen different Maglite Replacement Bulbs. This is a solid 5 star bulb for the price. I have brighter ones with three brightness settings, however they cost five to six times what this one costs.Personaly I would opt for the LiteXpress LXB430 with two settings for twenty bucks. They also have one for 3 to 6 cell lights.However, if you don't want to spend the few buck more and are good with only one brightness setting, this is the bulb you want.One of the great things about this bulb is how bright it is for only 3 watts. You can't go wrong with it.The other bulbs I bought in this price range, claiming to be this bright, were a waste of money.

Perfect fit for my 20 year old 2D cell Maglite. Super bright white, as compared to the old yellowish bulb. I see what others have said about the ever so slight greenish tint, but you have to look for it. I thought my Maglite was bright 20 years ago - now it's even better! Highly recommended!

I hadn't used my Maglite flashlight for a while (2 D-Cell version) and noticed that the beam was pretty dull. I replaced the batteries thinking that was the issue. Nope. Same problem even with new batteries. I finally realized that I had just gotten spoiled by the brightness of my other pocket-sized LED-based flashlight that I had been using. I still really like the feel of my Maglite, so I bought this bulb. What a difference; now it's nice and bright! It brought new life to the Maglite for sure and was super simple to install.

It provides a noticeable improvement over the original incandescent bulb, but it falls short of the high lumen output I expected from a 300LM bulb. It’s still a solid improvement, just not as brilliant as I hoped.**Overall:**Despite the brightness not being quite as high as I expected, this LED conversion bulb is a worthwhile upgrade for any Mag Lite user. The ease of installation and the improvement in light quality over the original bulb make it a good choice. If you're looking for a simple way to boost the performance of your flashlight, this LED upgrade is a decent option.

I bought this for a mag lite that has to be twenty years old. The bulb looked the same so I took a chance and it fit perfect. Now I have a much brighter mag light.

Since the advent of COB LED's, my Mag Lites have been obsolete and put out of service. The bulb is pricey, but I weighed the cost of the bulb against the loss of the MagLite and decided that the value of the MagLite with an extreme bulb was worth the cost. The bulb was very easy to install and the results exceeded my expectations. It is bright and you don't want to look directly into to it to find out how much. To get the most out of this bulb, you must focus the MagLite so that it concentrates the beam without leaving a darker spot in the middle. While the MagLite focus feature was innovative and useful, it is unnecessary with this bulb. The light spread outside the "hot spot" is more than bright enough to illuminate a larger area. Buy the bulb: see the light.

Worked like a dream. My batteries are half dead and the led bulb is so much brighter than the xenon bulb I had in it before. I put it into a 2d cell maglite.
