The product is great. It works well and is sturdy, but...when it arrived and I opened the Amazon box, the inside box was torn open. Hmmm, not a good sign. The product parts had been thrown into the box, not packed into the styrofoam parts that hold it in place. The parts were dirty (greasy fingerprints) and that included pieces of what looked like pet hair stuck to the handle. I was pissed. Ok, easy enough to clean, sterilize and so on, but seriously??? Clearly, someone returned it, but no one checked it before they sent it to me. And there is no way that I can find to reach the seller. I called Amazon to complain about it. I told them it clearly wasn't new, and I wanted a partial refund because it worked, it was just dirty. They refunded a portion of my money, not enough as far as I was concerned, but returning items is an inconvenience these days and the product works well.

We purchased this to make purées of things for homemade baby food for our children, mainly because blending in the pot made more sense than setting up the standing blender every time. This is especially helpful when there are multiple dishes; it's nothing to give the blending head a quick rinse and then get back to work. There is also a bit more control because it's a lot easier to see the consistency of the blended product.Once we did that, our children moved to solid foods, but we still use this at least once a week.We make all kinds of blended soups, various fruit purées for desserts, and any number of sauces and things that have large bits mixed in but need a smooth consistency. We have not used the food processor, masher, and whisk attachments very much compared to the stick blender, but we've found it to be worth it for the stick blender alone, even if we never use the other attachments.

the whisk, I use for my psyllium and vanilla protein shake every day. it works very well.the blender, I use that for cooking and food prep on the weekend. it works smoothly, and blends very well, much better than my cuisinart did.specifically, the buttons are easier to press, and there are no holes for what you are blending to be trapped in.

It is a world known brand so it doesnt have any quality and performance problems. Easy to use and clean. I use it everyday either to make omlette or soup. Highly recommend

The media could not be loaded. Worked fine for about a few times. Then stopped working.Blending power is not that greatThe above is from May 2020.I’m giving an update on Jul 2022-I called Braun in 2020..few days after I purchased, and they replaced the machine. It’s been working well so far.

Got the Multiquick 537 (the difference between the 505 and 537 is the 505 does not include the puree or chopper accessories, otherwise the hand blender itself is the same!) after seeing America's Test Kitchen review of it as well as WireCutter. I got this first and foremost to make baby food but also because I knew I'd use it in the future for smoothies, soups, etc. I absolutely love this immersion blender! After cutting up or steaming any fruits or veggies, this allows me to make baby food in literally seconds. I will say that this is almost a little too powerful because if I want to make chunkier foods, it's hard to do so. Not a dealbreaker but something to note if you were hoping to make chunkier foods. I do also love the portability and size compared to our blender (which I'm ready to get rid of) or a combo steam/baby food blender. Minus all of the accessories, being able to just store the stick and blender attachment is so nice. If you're considering this blender for baby food, don't hesitate to get this!!

At first I wasn’t sure if I should buy this because I have a Vitamix, but I find myself using it several times a day. It has become an essential piece of equipment in our kitchen. Much easier to clean up than a blender.

I have been using hand blenders for years. The Braun MQ537 is an improvement over the many models I have owned in the past by a variety of companies. I like making asparagus soup. In the past the hand blenders would not be able to deal with the fibers from the asparagus so instead I would go through the drudgery of blending it in batches in my blender. The Braun effortless grinds the veggies to a smooth cream right in the pot. In addition I really like the chopping attachment, it does a great job with onions, carrots and such and is easy to clean.
