The Wild Zone / Now You See Her (Joy Fielding Collection)

Another cracking read from this author. She never writes a pup !! I've read her books for decades now and you know they're never going to be a load of tripe.There were some really shocking moments in this one, which is always good as you happen across something totally unexpected. I was also wondering who was going to plan what and with who as you were never quite sure. I liked that we got to know all about each character's background. That's not always the case and it was interesting as you got to know them better and why perhaps they make the decisions they make and act the way they do. I did despise the Tom character-what a piece of work he was.....and my favourite one was Kristin.Simon & Schuster YET AGAIN lose their cover art on the e-book. I've lost count of the times I've addressed this in reviews and yet it continues to be the case. Perhaps nobody else has bleated about it but it cheeses me off. I expect a cover on a digital version as much as I would on a print copy.There were some errors, too.....otto man is usually one word and cinammonlaced usually two with a hyphen, she used coming and not becoming, vamanos and not vamos, Light and not Lite and anti septic isn't two words again.I did see as totally superfluous that we got the total list of every lawyer in a building at one point. That came across as just utterly needless along with being aggravating, too.One passage lost me completely. Tom asks to keep a magazine saying "Mind if I take this with ?" which was an odd way to make the request but I didn't understand WHY he took it, either. So it baffled me on a couple of counts there. She also had two people repeating the same words more than once or twice. Kristin was always saying somebody was sweet and Larry always asking if there was a problem. That became irritating.I'm unsure how I felt about the ending. I hate lies and lies were told which was a shame. You'll need to read for yourself and see what you think. It is very good.

I had already bought this and then saw the reviews so wasn't looking forward to reading it but I have to say I quite enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as her books like See Jane Run and Mad River Road but I can't say that I was ever bored whilst I was reading it. Yes I agree some of the characters were horrible, but that was what the story was about. Anyway can't say I loved it but definitely don't think it was that terrible.

Loved this book the twists and turns very enjoyable. Must now look for my next Joy Fielding book to add to my list

Not my favourite of her books, but still very good. I could not put it down. Very good twist at the end

Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen. Joy Fielding schafft es immer wieder, dass die Leser sich gut in die handelnden Personen einfinden können, baut geschickt Spannung auf und hält diese bis zum Schluss aufrecht. Je weiter ich las desto spannender wurde es. Am Ende überschlugen sich die Ereignisse und es kam zur Kehrtwendung.
