AM4 CPU Heatsink Bracket Backplate Back Sheet Plate Durable for AMD B350 X370

Original was misplaced when an aftermarket cooler was fitted, upgrading motherboard and needed one of these to enable the old one to be used in another machine. Fits perfectly and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I installed it all easily enough on mobo, all it takes is screwing it in and metal plate goes on back of board but I had one problem. As I was tightening the screws one of the plastic tabs (which look quite thick) that holds the Aio or fan cooler on to the cpu broke off and I didn't even tighten screw that hard, just a delicate turning motion, so I had to source another one unfortunatly. One easy solution to fixing this issue in future instialltions would have been to have the brackets that fit cooler as metal casts instead of plastic, I honestly don't know why they chose to have a metal bracket at the back and plastic ones for the bracketed tab parts where cpu cooler fits onto. I would suggest companies using metal in future for the whole part and then it will prevent the plastic tab breaking off because it will be metal instead which will mean less tension damage when screwing it on. Also AMD should fix the issue of having their Cpu coolers fit on this way, that would aleviate this problem fully. Its mind boggling that companies still use plastic for a delicate install like this.

2 screws missing

Missing a screw which isn’t ideal, ordered as a quick fix as my pc is in a shop having parts installed.Pushed the deadline of everything being fixed back by a few more days.

Bought a new CPU cooler and realised the one bracket I didn't keep in a box was the AM4 one, all the kit was in the box and exactly what I needed, fits nciely.

Does the job intended

After about 5 mins of putting this in with little to no pressure the backplate broke to reveal a rusted underside which shows it must have been painted over, then swapping out the back plate the screws that came with this then snapped after trying to tighten them down. Waste of money
