Best probe and company for any thermometer
Excellent product, has helped so much cooking on my Blackstone grill. It is accurate, and identifies all of the temps on the grill plate, and the probe let’s you know exactly when you should pull food off by how you want it done, love this thermometer, helps with my pit boss to, and thermo pro customer service is the best, I had a probe that didn’t work, called them, and they replaced it in three days, no questions asked, I’ll only buy thermo pro products from now on

A Must for Griddlers
This works great on a griddle. It's super easy to use and gives accurate readings for various areas of the griddle.

I keep buying for gifts.
This is a great thermometer especially for the price. I have bought many as gifts since I like it so much.

A work of Art
Should it be five stars? Probably. You buy a thermometer for its accuracy, and this one is accurate on both counts. The stainless steel NTC thermistor probe has proven accurate when measured against my other thermometers in a sous vide water bath. The infrared sensor also measures closely to the readings of a top IR gun costing $99.Having compared both infrared and probe sensors against two thermometers costing in excess of $200 and seeing it perform as well as it did is pretty remarkable. Now, there are some trade-offs.There is no red laser dot on the infrared to pinpoint where you're pointing, but it really isn't that difficult to gauge the surface temperature of a pan. There will be hot and cool spots in a pan heating on a burner that will flummox the inexperienced, but generally, the center will be hotter than the edges. If you do see wild temperature fluctuations on your pan or griddle it means you have a cheap pan or griddle. And yes, you do have to tilt your neck to view the thermometer's display when you're scanning the surface temperature of your cooking surface. That is a trade-off.For a more neck-friendly experience, you will have to buy a separate infrared gun, but that defeats the purpose. There's a lot of value here. If you don't like it, return it. ThermoPro has the best customer service in the business and will take it back no questions asked for a full refund.Summation: the probe is accurate, the infrared is accurate, they had to put it in one tool and it performs just as well as separate instruments. If you are unable to tilt your head to view the display causing you exponentially more trouble while cooking, then I suggest going with an IR gun with a laser instead.

Clear readings
I use this a lot. Instant read of the surface temp of an item you point it at. The probe takes a second or 2 to stabilize the reading when you stab it into some meat.

Not actually water resistant
This thermometer broke because it is not sealed well. I never let it be submerged in water, I only ever scrubbed it lightly in the sink and rinsed it off and somehow water got inside and fried the electronics and now the thermometer does not work. We were only able to use it a handful of times.
