Excellent iron
Excellent iron, one of the better ones I've ever had. Great quality, hefty but not too heavy. Nice, perfectly working steam function. Plate glides smoothly on fabric, getting rid of wrinkles FAST! Love the retractable cord feature, so convenient. Definitely worth the money!

Ironing challenges are gone!
I have been using a steam ironing system for years. I am very particular and loved the way it worked. As luck would have it, I need a part replacement that is no longer available. After much research, I ordered this lovely iron. Honestly, I think it works better than the fancy system I had previously. It’s the right weight for ironing. There is plenty of steam. I love that there are multiple settings for both temperature and steam. It’s easy to fill with water. The size works well for both flat areas, collars, and sleeves. The wrinkles just melt away in both linen, cotton, and synthetics. It’s a great iron.

Chi - a great iron!
I normally do not write reviews, but this item warrants recognition. I was not familiar with Chi - and took the chance to purchase. I am sooo glad i did!! I am old school and still iron most everything. This iron has not disappointed. The sole plate glides over fabric when using the appropriate level of heat. The great numbers of stem holes is phenomenal! Temperature selection is made easy to read, right on the handle. The steam regulator is equally as easy to use. What IS different is filing the water reservoir - the iron needs to be horizontal, not vertical. Still, just a learning curve. Would I recommend the purchase of this iron - YES!

Best iron I've ever used!
I have been using Rowenta irons, and have been dissatisfied with them lately, as the quality has diminished terribly. This iron does not leak, has more steam holes on the bottom plate than the Rowenta I used, and gets hot enough to iron out the wrinkles on linen pieces beautifully. It also has a large water reservoir, so that I'm not refilling it with every other shirt I iron. I wear a lot of linen in the summer, and I'm not a fan of the wrinkled look. I've read that this iron is on the heavy side. I disagree. Yes, it feels substantial, but no heavier than what I've been using, without all the spitting, leaking, and refilling. Wonderful product.

Nice Iron
Iron does its job very well. Cord is nice and long. While the retractable cord works and is a nice feature, it's rather finicky. Water reservoir fills while laying the iron flat - not standing. I initially thought this was a little inconvenient until I realized it's really easy to fill directly from a faucet this way. This iron gets very hot and really pumps out the steam. Of course, this means more frequent fillings, but it's what you want an iron to do and as i said, it works very well. Nice and smooth.

Yes! Quality without spending a fortune.
Can’t speak for longevity, but otherwise can’t laud this iron enough. Takes out wrinkles on the first pass. Heats quickly. The retractable cord works great. The nose end has a nice taper for small spaces and between buttons. Perfect for clothes table linens and sewing.

Best Steam Iron Ever
I'd never heard of this brand, but it was the top recommended steam iron on Wirecutter. They were right - it's a great iron. I'm a quilter/crafter and frequent fabric and clothes ironer. This iron is better than either of my two previous (now leaking and unreliable) Rowenta irons. The steam function on the CHI is so good that there's no need to use the boost of steam function. The cord pulls out and retracts smoothly and easily, and the 30 minute automatic shut-off time is perfect for the back and forth between my sewing machine and the iron - the 6 minute before shut-off on the Rowenta was too short. The CHI is a fair price for an iron this good for someone who irons a lot. I believe this model is discontinued, but there are still some left on Amazon, and Wirecutter says the next model of this one is just as good.

Don’t buy!
I bought this iron 2 years ago, it worked well and I liked it, 9 days shy of the 2 years, it totally died, no lights, no heat, nothing. It has 2 years warranty and I had 9 days that the iron was still under that warranty. I called the customer service number provided in the booklet that came with it and all what I got was “no agent is available to take your call, please call back later.” I called several times during the day and got the same response. I looked up CHI customer service number and it was different than the one in the booklet, I called and they told me that the iron is made by Hamilton Beach and I have to call them, they gave me the same number that I have been calling already and getting no response. I tried the next day and nothing again. So I called CHI again and they gave me an email address to send my complaint. I sent an email and got a response that due to high demand “ please allow 2 weeks for us to response!!”I have never heard anything like this when there is no one to talk to you on the phone( I would have been fine being on hold for an hour, but even that was not available) and they will take the 2 WEEKS to get back to me.I went a bought another iron from another store and I flushed $100 down the drain.
