Hesitant purchase - no regrets
I read a bunch of reviews and was hesitant on buying this. The good -It works and has enough torque for my general needs. The light actually works and I’ve needed it on a couple of occasions. The extended reach is great. The middle of the road stuff -- the batteries do not plug into any base to charge like typical powered tools. The battery is removed and a wall wart plugs into the side of the battery. Seems really cheap to me. It works so it’s not that badCons -- the lock for the trigger is a small mechanical push block type of switch. I hate this. The way the did this annoys the crap out of me. It’s needed, it works, I just hate it.Overall - it’s worth it and it meets my needs….so far

Full time marine mechanic. daily usage
I am on my second ratchet, but the first one broke due to me pushing the limits of the tool, if the ratchet motor won’t take it off(which it will 80% of the time) , use a breaker bar first and then use the ratchet to finish the job. Although the internal parts can handle slightly more torque than the motor can deliver, don’t push your luck or you’ll end up buying another. This is a cheap and durable tool that will save your wrists and make difficult jobs much easier. Plus, a battery that will last all day with moderate use. I work 50 hour weeks and I use mine every single day in harsh/moist environments (typically the bottom of a boat)Some things I will note thoughWhen you first receive it, tighten all the Phillips head screws on the yellow case/body of the motor and even use thread locker if you have to. They will fall out one by one if you don’t make sure they are tight. This goes for the roll pin on the trigger as well. Also, periodically pull the c clip off of the ratcheting mechanism and disassemble it, grease the entire head really well, this will drastically decrease the noise it makes and increase the tools longevity. I use “triple guard grease”

Proprietary battery
Loved the tool and had to really convince myself to send it back. I bought it for a tight fit area but even this couldn’t get in the tight space. Despite not fitting where I needed it I found the tool well built, felt nice in the hand, had a great sound, decent power. Overall a nice tool with one exception, the battery. It’s not a standard M12 rechargeable battery readily available at many stores. I really don’t like off brand tools with proprietary batteries b/c you have no idea how long replacement batteries will be around and you will ultimately need a replacement at some point. Shame. I sent it back.

A very nice tool
I put this ratchet through hell when I was restoring my car but it never disappointed me, and still works fine. The battery lasts a long time and recharges fast. the torque is high and if you are not careful stripe the thread of small bolts. I don't know where you can get more batteries but at this price, it has paid for itself many times over.

Not M12 compatible
I was looking for m12 compatible ratchets and this Meagle brand came up recommended. I found another buyer asking if this ratchet was m12 compatible and saw the seller reply that it was so I purchased one. I received it the next day and tried to insert my m12 battery from Home Depot into the Meagle ratchet and it would not fit. It does however function using its own battery and seems to be well built but I did knock off two stars for the seller stating that this was m12 compatible when it on fact was not. I am going to return the item because I do not want to have to deal with another set of batteries.

Darn good ratchet!
This thing is a great little powerhouse of a ratchet, and at a better price then you'll pay for a name brand. The reach is great, and the battery life is impressive.2 year update. The ratchet is still going strong, and the batteries still work perfectly. I've used this ratchet almost daily for the last 2 years and its exceeded my expectations.
