Good quality, better ride on bumpy roads
I received a Ulip brand fork, so, my review is for the quality and materials for that specific part. The installation is not for the untrained person, if you have worked on bicycles or have enough knowledge and tools to do the install, you will have to problem at all. You'll be done in 30 minutes. If you have never worked on something like this, be very careful and look at a lot of videos before removing anything. You could seriously end injured! If you have no idea of what you're doing or don't have the tools, do yourself a favor and take your scooter and brand new fork to a bike shop. They'll replace it in no time.OK, now; after installing the fork and the longer kickstand (the ride height will increase like an inch), the ride felt almost the same as before, but it was the bigger bumps or pot holes where it really made a difference. So, I'd suggest you to only buy it if you encounter similar conditions: light off road, big bumps, irregular terrain or you ride in our terrible urban California streets. The Bound/Rebound is fixed so you can't adjust it. It feels firm enough for my weight: 185 lbs. Don't expect a softer ride on "regular smooth" surfaces. It definitely helped my commute to work.

Calms the shakes. Installation is not easy.
I'll start by saying that disassembly of the front fork is a pain and unavoidable no matter which fork you choose. Be it this one or others.Tools needed:metric Allen wrenches from 2.5mm up to 5mm.Metric socket set and/or adjustable wrench (I recommend having both)You'll also want some smaller wrenches 14 and 12 mm for the brake line.A hammer (to help remove the wheel from the fork). How I removed it was to place the socket wrench on the nut and tapped the wrench with the hammer to both protect the scooter and loosen the wheel.about 6 2x4 wood blocks (to rest the base of the scooter so the wheels are above the ground but not too high)I recommend taking lots of close up pictures of each screw (especially the brake line) before unscrewing anything. The stem isn't too bad, you'll just need to adjust bolt correctly to get it to lock/release the upright position this is kind of a pain. There's only 1 screw from the kit that I really used, everything else I just used the original. That screw is the one that secures the mud flap to the fork. you'll want to use the shorter one.I used an impact drill to tighten the new kickstand to the base and it broke my security bit. So I just recommend that you use the supplied wrench and hand tighten it. I was just being lazy and paid the price. All and all, having this fork really removes the shaking and vibration of small bumps. When I hit a large bump, there's a loud clang that I'm trying to figure out the cause. I suspect that it's because I haven't tightened the upright position locking bolt enough. So watch for updates. Other than that, I'm really happy to have this thing.

It’s good for the price.
I’d say these are a bit stiff. I would much rather bottom out then try to jump on it like a trampoline that hardly bounces.

Challenging to install!
Overall, we are very happy with this purchase! It works as it says it should and does not look bad. It is challenging to install, however. I used the video on the description to do the install and found it very helpful.

Not good
This thing didn’t not work at all , was wobbling and couldn’t do anything to make it stop also dampening only looks cool but doesn’t do anything for comfort

Check components before you buy
This was a waste of money. It is not possible to connect with the size and fit of my son’s scooter to make it functional again. I cannot comment on the durability as we never got it to function with the scooter

Actually received a ULIP fork! Saved me money!
Purchased this not thinking I would be impressed, but I am! I'm 180lbs and while this fork is on the softer side, I thoroughly enjoy it. I received a ULIP fork, which is also listed on Amazon for $35 more! It should be noted that the tube that goes into stem and bearings would not fit inside they bottom part of the folding mechanism. The black paint that is on this part made the piece too big in diameter to fit inside (in this listing it doesn't show that it is painted, but on the ULIP listing it does). I took some rough sandpaper and removed some of this paint towards the top. Once I did this it fit together snug. Some people have complained about there being a slight bit of movement in the stem because of this fork.... But I have literally zero movement. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that show you how to install this, so don't be worried about it not coming with instructions.
