It's a good size for even my 18 lb boy. He's an aggressive scratcher and is generously proportioned. He fits with some room to spare, even when scratching. I was worried he'd be so big he would pop the sides, but no. Even Massa fits.Note, he is not a box cat. He just loves the scratchers and he was so big sitting on them he hung over the sides. He seems more comfortable now. Kind of like having an armrest. Feels secure.

This is a pretty good scratching box, but it is suitable only for kittens or small cats. I ordered it because the Fukumaru box was out of stock, and didn’t pay attention to the dimensions. The length is ok, but it isn’t wide enough for larger cats, especially if they like to lie in the box. I do like that the refills are wrapped for storage, and the box itself appears to be durable. My granddaughter’s kitten will be getting it.

Does your kitty scratch up furniture and things? Have you purchased nice rope-covered mini-furniture for your kitty to redirect that behavior toward somewhere appropriate?Yep, me too.After getting a couple of these little boxes and placing them where she's been caught being a bad kitty... they've worked like a charm and have curbed her behavior nearly 100%.Now she only seems to scratch something else when she wants to get my attention... Because she's looking at me while she's doing it and then pauses when I look over at her and then gives a mini-meow... No comment.You can see Minerva relaxing in one that I normally keep in the bedroom. Sometimes I need to drag it out (with her in it) when I want her out of the room. (You can see her in front of a closed door after doing that one day looking at me with a "why did you stop" sort of look...)So these boxes even serve as a mini-ride too. :-)

My cat sleeps in this box! She doesn’t move unless she needs a drink from her fountain, a snack, or use the litterbox. My cat is clearly living her BEST life! I’m glad I work, make money, so my cats have a relaxing and better life than me. No, she doesn’t share her box with her sister; however, the other cat (the black tortie) HOGS my bed! 🙄

Not much to write about. The box and scratch pads are those of what you would find at Petco or other sites like Chewy. I went here to buy as this was the cheapest price for 4 pads and a box. Pads are lasting and holding up to others I have purchased from Chewy for closer to $5-10 each. Happy with the purchase and my cats enjoy sitting in the box as much as playing - clawing the pads.
