Reolink Bracket For Model 423 (423 Vertical Bracket)

I own several REOLink cams. They are fantastic and are a great value. I know this is only a ~$10 product, but there are no instructions. The average person should have no problem figuring it out; however, to install this bracket, you need to disconnect 2 harnesses on the electronics board, remove 1 mounting screw and ground wire, and cut/remove a zip-tie in order to feed the wire through the new bracket.I mention the zip-tie because the new bracket does not allow the wiring to be secured by the zip-tie due to the shape of the bracket. This tie acted as a stress relief. I spent 20 mins trying to re-assemble with a zip-tie in place until I realized that the new bracket does not have the same amount of internal space as the original and the zip-tie forces the cable into a inadequate space.3 Stars because there should be instructions AND they should have engineered the original and this vertical bracket to be switched without having to deal with the electronics harnesses.Beyond that, typical high-quality product from Reolink

Great looking bracket for a great camera with a big miss having no vertical mount for under soffits. The pipe however does not allow the Reoling network connector to pass through. How did the engineers miss this? I should have read the other reviews. C'mon Reolink, fix this!

Reading the reviews helped a lot when figuring out how to put this thing together.I ended up having my wife hold the camera while I screwed in the base. This is a two man job because you do not want hold the camera up by the wire. The only thing holding the wires on at this point is the top circuit board.In general this appears to be solid but missing directions.It would be nice if you could order it with a top mount or side mount and not have to worry about taking it apart.

This PTZ RLC-423 Reolink camera is awesome. The image quality, along with the ability to control and monitor it with the app makes this an awesome addition to my system. I bought this extension to make mounting it in my soffit possible. It turned out to be just what I needed. I cant' say enough about Reolink's power over ethernet (POE) products and their high quality.

The connector works, but it lacks instructions. It comes in three parts, one tube and two domed pieces. If you look at the hole patterns for the screws, you can identify which piece is the top and which the bottom, but there is no labeling.The first issue I ran into was removing the existing wall mount arm. With sufficient patience and GENTLE use of force, I was able to work the ethernet connection through the wall mount arm and free all of the cables.The second issue I ran into was attempting to put the cables through the ceiling mount connector. The cable hole in the lower dome is no where large enough to put the ethernet connector through. Making a leap of faith, I unhooked the cabling from the circuit board that lies under the top dome. These three cables (two small plastic connectors and a ground) will fit through the lower dome part. You will need to remove the zip tie which holds all of the cables to the main camera housing.Once I understood that you were supposed to unhook the cables from the circuit board, I understood that removing cables from the wall mount would have been a lot easier if I had just done that from the start. As mentioned earlier, there were no instructions.Mount the upper dome to the ceiling FIRST, then connect the tube and finally the camera assembly otherwise, you end up with some seriously twisted cables.Aside from the lack of instructions, the product seems solid enough (I haven't had enough time to test the weather resistance).

Camera works well except for the auto focus. It tries to refocus every time it's panned or tilted and takes approx. 15 seconds each time.

You need to remove and replace wiring from camera; and would work well with a 4x4 box to integrate terminations into. Threading on pendant is not standard if you are trying to integrate into a box. Overall though worked well with some minor modifications

Works as intended and was not difficult to install.

Der Fuß der Camera ist solide verarbeitet.Die Lackierung könnte besser sein, ist jedoch zu vernachlässigen, da man den Fuß außer bei der Montage nicht mehr aus der Nähe (<30cm) betrachten wird. Kein Punktabzug deswegen, eher jammern auf hohem Niveau ;).Hervorzuheben ist, das 2 Montageplatten mitgeliefert werden. Eine Platte mit Kabelführung nach außen, eine ohne Kabelführung welche an der Cam montiert wird. Details siehe Fotos. Bei der Demontage muss die Zugentlastung der Kabelpeitsche (Rappband) getrennt werden und eine Schraube auf der Platine,wo die Erdung befestigt ist. Danach können die 2 Stecker gelöst und die Kabelpeitsche aus dem gewinkelten Fuß entfernt werden.Der Zusammenbau erfolgt umgekehrt analog zur Demontage.Achtung! Beim Zusammenbau sollte man darauf achten, dass die Dichtung korrekt sitzt um Wasserschäden (z.B. eindringenden Regen) zu vermeiden.Der Bausatz kommt zerlegt in drei Teilen und ein Tütchen mit 3 Madenschrauben.Zum Zusammenbau wird:- Inbusschlüssel Größe 2 benötigt (liegt nicht bei)- 1 schmaler Kabelbinder.- Kreuzschraubendreher mittel- Seitenschneider- evtl. Locktide

For some reason I imagined it a little more compact. It would be nice if either included or a different model had a shorter post from mount to camera. Comes without any instructions which may be a concern for some users as they may not reassemble the camera correctly and as a result allow water into the electronics contained directly under the top of the dome you unscrew. Also took some effort and rerouting of the wiring to allow the new mount to properly sit onto the top of the camera unit while still having the cables secured so there is no tension placed on them. They come zip tied so you don't tug them out but the vertical mount does not work with the cable zip tied in the same spot and way as the original bracket. Once you are sure you've got it all right, or maybe even before screwing the new cap down, it might be a good idea to run some silicone where it seats and in the screw holes once tight. Would be an expensive mistake to allow any water inside the housing.All that said, if you need it then you need it, just think to yourself, "could water get in here" when reassembling and be ready with some silicone caulk. At least that's easier to clean off if you need to remove the cover again and and cheaper than replacing the camera because you screwed the screws in a circular pattern squishing the gasket and allowing water inside.So be careful and if you don't know what you're doing, contact support first and see if they can direct you.

Haben die Kamera über unserer Eingangstür montiert, damit wir auch in Richtung Eingangstor schwenken können, um zu sehen, wer läutet usw. Die Bilder sind wirklich sehr gut, man kann darauf alles erkennen. Kamera lässt sich auch sehr gut über Handy steuern.

Wir haben eine Halterung an einer von zweien RLC-423 verbaut. Qualität ist i.O. Die eigentliche Empfehlung verdienen die Kameras. Zum Teil seit über 2 Jahren im Einsatz, insgesamt 8 Stück und alle funktionieren stabil und ohne Probleme.

Ich kaufte diese Halterung für meine RLC-423 Kamera. Diese Halterung ist sehr passend zu der 423 Kamera und auch sehr stabil. Mit dieser Halterung kann die Kamera direkt unter dem Dach montiert werden. Das ist mir viel bequemer. Besser funktioniert die Kamera die PTZ.Übrigens ist der Reolink EU Service Team sehr freundlich und antowortet auf meine Frage schnell. Ein zufriedenes Einkaufserlebnis!
