Great game like the movie
Really fun game if you are into ET like us. It plays as part of the movie, escaping and sending ET home with his family before he ends up grey, laying under a bridge. Detailed as his heart that grows duller from a shining beating red as in the movie as the spaceship speeds around the board and you and your friends ride Elliots gangs bikes to success. It's an easy game to play but also really fun, where all players play with the same goal in mind, getting ET home.I have a few of these style games and have found them fun with different kinds of friends. I love games but I'm not particularly competitive so to work as a team really makes it enjoyable for me.I kept my eye on the price and bought it when I felt it was a great price but it's well worth the cost considering I'll keep it for the rest of my days

E.T. Home Phone!
Excellent game that really brings to life the last stages of the film, best played against the fantastic John Williams score. The instructions are rather confusing, so it’s best to just get on and play it using cheat sheets and to refer back to the pamphlet when needed.Brilliant collaborative play, that stays true to the film. The kids can jump up ramps, have E.T. in their basket and even fly across the board. All the while being chased by FBI agents and cop cars, in a face to get E.T. to his spaceship. The box says 10+ but with adults 7+ will be fine. It also says 30mins play time but I’d say it’s nearer an hour.So good I cried at the end when E.T. said goodbye. “I’ll be right here”.

Good gateway/ family board game
Fun little board game, suitable for younger members of the family, about collecting parts, avoiding the cops and building a radio device so E.T. can call in his mothership and return home.Lovely colourful minis and clear instructions make this a great little entry-level board game. Funko do it again!

Fun cooperative game
This is a cooperative game of a style that seems to be popular at the moment. I also own Horrified and Alien : Fate of the Nostrono and this game shares a lot of the same mechanics.Players select a character from a lineup that all have different abilities. They then work together to gather items from around the board while avoiding automated enemy characters. Enemy movement is decided by dice rolls. There's also a fun gimmick of having to keep ET safe - a risk/reward element as ET can provide bonus abilities at the cost of potentially putting him in danger.Like other co-op games of this type, solo play is possible, though it's more fun with others. My first impression is that this is easier than the other games mentioned above. I've played it twice and we won both times. There is a level of challenge but experienced gamers arent probably going to be taxed unless the dice really don't favour them. There's also fewer options to raise the difficulty without actually altering some of the rules (unlike Horrified where you can just add more monsters).Overall I'd still recommend this game. It's great for families/ gaming groups who are looking for a good intro to the coop genre - it's a quick setup and the rules are pretty straightforward.

Great fun
I was driven by nostalgia when I bought it. Usually I play more complex games but still this one was huge fun. Quick to learn, quick to play and many possible ways how the plot can unfold. If you are into 80's then this game has +100% to the fun :). Highly recommended.

Instructions are just too much
Wow. Talk about having to stop every few minutes to constantly read the instructions! It’s just to much IMHO.It’s like 10 pages of instructions or a 10 minute video on the instructions where the women just spread reads at 90mpg like she’s bored.Could have been so much better.
