Nice upgrade
I have a pair of JJ EL84 tubes that started acting funny in my Traynor YGL1, so I upgraded them with Mullard EL84s. I also thought it would be fun to upgrade the JJ 12ax7 with this Mullard 12AX7 / ECC83 and I've noticed my amp now has the rich sound I've always wished it would have. I switched back and fourth between the two 12ax7s and the Mullard I received was superior.

Nice sound I put the mullard in v1 slot for my fender reissue Princeton the highs are nice , and I like the tube output is written on the box.

So far so good
Yeah it's only been an hour of testing and listening to music but hey I wanna get these thoughts down quick!First off, there is heaps of gain. Listening to this tube with my Project Horizon headphone amp and HD600 headphones, compared to other tubes I've been using I can definitely hear some gain buzz when the signal is off. But that doesn't take away from the sound.Couple notes:-Balance across the tonal spectrum. Throughout the range of sound including midrange being present, just as much as the highs. I can hear anything in particular that sticks out, maybe a 100 hour burn in will speak otherwise.-Soundstage isn't narrow but it isn't wide either. The music sounds right in between the ears and not too forward either. Almost like the sound is being presented in a half circle if that makes sense!-Kind of reminds me of a solid state signature. I'm actually hoping that with more burn in the detail will kick back a bit and warmth and smoothness set in, but I can't complain. If I can remember to do it I'll swing by here with an update on how things end up going after some good burn in time.
