Great for making your own popcorn instead of using bagged microwave popcorn
I bought this EXACT product a gazillion years ago, at least 20, and it finally played out -- turning a yellowish color and developing sort of "bubbles" in the plastic in the very bottom that worried me, so it was time for another one. This one does just what it is supposed to do. Just put in a quarter cup or so of kernels, a tablespoon of vegetable oil, and a couple dashes of salt, put the microwave on the "popcorn" setting, let it run (usually about 3 to 3.5 minutes on high, depending on your power), listen carefully, and as soon as you hear two or three seconds between pops, hit the cancel button. And there you have it.My only issue with this product is the lid. I use pot holders to remove it from the microwave, and you have to be careful of the steam, but the little raised "X"-shaped design on the lid, which I assume is meant for you to grab onto to remove it, is clumsy. It's so hot that you have to use pot holders, and the little ridges you are supposed to grab are too tiny to grab with the thick potholders. If you try to tip it and grab it on the sides, you'll get oily residue on your pot holders. If you use just your fingers, you might get steam-burned. Sure, you could wait until it cools to remove the lid, but then you wouldn't have hot popcorn. So I wish they had designed the lid with a little knob or something. But it's a good product, nonetheless.

Easy to use; easy to clean
If you are looking to make good air-popped popcorn without the mess of oily paper bags, I would recommend this. There are very few unpopped kernels remaining in the bowl. However, you should stay close to the microwave so you can remove the bowl after the popping ceases. I find it takes just over 3 minutes to pop a full bowl. This is my second purchase of the same microwave popcorn popper. I first purchased one in 2013 and it has been the only popcorn popper I have used for almost 10 years. While the original one still functions, some of the popped corn sticks to the interior surface, which is not a problem with my new purchase. I have never used butter or oil inside this popper after popping, so I can't speak to what it would be like if I had. The lid and interior are slightly discolored on the old one, but the new one is very easy to clean with just a little soap and water.

Worth Every Penny!!!
I love popcorn, but hate the mess it makes on my stove top and I don't care for the bagged microwave kind on the market. I wanted something that would make good popcorn, with little to no mess, was easy to use and clean, and didn't take up any additional counter space. And this product is perfect!!! I love that I can either use or not use oil with it, it's easy to use and clean, doesn't create a mess, and I have crunchy, delicious popcorn in a matter of minutes every time I use it. I've made small and large batches and I have had no problems. I use about a teaspoon of oil to coat the kernels and that's it. When done, I spray on some melted butter and add a little salt. It pops really well and for the most part it pops the majority of the kernels, there's very few left unpopped in the bottom of the bowl. I highly recommend this product - hands down best microwave popcorn popper out there!

Awesome popcorn bowl
It pops great without having to use any oil. Which is great as it keeps the calories way down. I would recommend using good popcorn like Orville.

Sturdy; capacious; works well
It is certainly sturdy and works well as bowl to pop and eat from. Lid is, as others have said, a little wonky--doesn't sit perfectly in the groove for it around the edge, tends to get distorted from the heat--but it's meant to be light weight and allow air in at the sides (I think). It's just such a contrast between the thick, sturdy bowl and the lid. I would prefer a round rather than square bowl; it took several tries to figure out how to place it in the microwave so it wasn't hitting the side. But I'm happy enough with it and I didn't see any better options when I was looking.

Very good popcorn popper.
Good popper for equal heat distribution and hardiness. Better if you don't add oil or butter until after popping and in a different bowl.

Great popcorn popper, lid sorta flimsy.
This bowl was great to begin our journey away from bagged popcorn. The lid is a little flimsy and hard to keep secure on the bowl, but overall bowl seemed solid quality and has held up well after probably 50 bowls of popcorn already lol.
