I made a feature film this year and I wanted to isolate all my project files for DaVinci resolve to access in a separate hard drive. This hard drive is pretty much what you'd expect from an SSD drive. It's easy to install, fast and hasn't caused me any trouble so far.Just One hitch though: This drive has a sister drive installed in my computer - the WD Green 240GB. I used the WD Dashboard app to update the WD Green's firmware and within 2 hours, that WD Green drive crashed and crashed so bad that if I didn't unplug the SATA cable from the WD green, my computer won't even boot up. They got my drive replaced because it was within warranty, but I lost all my data in that drive. So I'm not even touching the firmware update button for this drive and I'd recommend the same. Even without the firmware update, your drive will be just great so don't ever do that if you love your data.

I'm happy with the purchase overall. It's an old laptop with a mechanical hdd and was planning to switch to sata SSD, nvme wasn't an option. I thoroughly searched and researched got to know about dram sata SSD,this was economical from all, there are dram less less costly. But decided. It delivered today, installed 11, installation was fast and the magic started, installation happening faster, software installation happening faster, faster switching between apps, boot time, shutdown time, all dramatically fast, apps loading all were very fast. Tested and he speed was as promised. Thanks to the technology. Worthy upgrade to 1 tb. Nvme can be much faster but for some other time. People who don't have option on their oldies to go to nvme and can go for these, noticable difference 5 times. Worth every penny spent

After using wd ssd my system has become very fast.. In just 15 seconds it gets started.

I regret buying this product. Since day one (Oct 2022) I received this SSD, it has been formatted several times. but to no avail. It refuses to work without hanging on Mi Box, Shield Pro 2019, and Vu 43" Android TV. I used this drive with a transcend casing. The casing is working fine with a Seagate HDD of the same configuration. But the WD SSD fails to work. RMA generation was easy. I am salaried personnel with a Monday-Friday 10-7. And service center hours are Monday-Saturday 10-7. I have to suffer a salary loss for every visit I have to make on a working day. My friend did me a favor and tried to submit the drive on my behalf. The lady on the drop point was attending another SSD submission. And to both of us, she replied that the hard disk seems to have been tampered with. She took some pics and asked to wait for her senior to arrive. who is still to arrive. This way the SSD is yet to offer ROI and asking for investment till now. I advise you not to invite this harassment.

No issues non soever. Much better than than standard HDD. Boot time has reduced, R/W capacity has increased. Unfortunately i have been using using it with SATA SSD type 2 and cannot utilize its full capabilities, but overall everything is much smoother.

Connectivity and installation were straight forward but, the device failed all of a sudden after 6 months. On windows, it just froze while loading an application and that's it. My Laptop went into boot loop with blue screen of death. Tried to format but, it throws read write errors. Waiting for support to revert.
