Bought a second one as a gift
Camera is a bargain for the price. This is my second one and was bought as a gift.My first one is installed in a Grand Voyager minivan and works well. The only problem is that the system emits a noise that is picked up by my ham radio 2 meter receiver. Mostly from poor shielding of the cables. My am/fm radio is not affected.

cheap
Haven't gotten it installed yet, but looks like everything I need is here. Came with instructions for a different kit. That's fine; since I just hit everything with a multimeter and labeled the connections. Does NOT come with necessary items such as : 2 mounting screws for dash mount monitor plate (that built in double sided tape isn't going to hold anything), no proper instructions (i imagine that's why mine was returned before I bought it for 25 bucks), no fuse and no fuse holder (great way to burn down your car). To purchase the required missing pieces will run you about the same price as buying a better one that already comes with those items. For gods sake please don't install this without an inline fuse as close as possible to wherever you grab some 12v+ to run the system.

need install help..dont waste your time
so far 3 stars..ill change it if i get some help but your instructions included are worthless...i just read a questionanswered "there are two wires coming from the monitor"...etc...there are three coming off my monitor (dallux liscence plate cam w mini monitor)...i want this to work off my reverse lites..please send detailed instructions..there are two ways to wire this..always on or when reversen lites come on..why wouldnt instructions be super clear for both ways..it seems you could spend alot less on tech support if you made things clear from the get go..your ratings would also be way higher right from the start because people would not be aggravated looking for help..they would be happy to rate you high because it wasnt an annoyingaggravating experience much like the one i am having nowUPDATE....Camera has completely stopped working..do you k,ow what a pain in the ads it is to test and check all these connections to be sure what's wrong?..do yourself a favor and don't go with the budget option..wait until you can spend a little extra and get a good unit...

Was fairly easy to install
Was fairly easy to install, but directions were not all that easy to understand. Works well. Image is clear and color is good. Would be nice if it had an adudible "beep" at a bout 3 feet from obstruction.

Simple great buy for the price sharp picture
Ok so the only thing I don’t like is the instructions could have been better went online pulled up a generic back up camera install video gave me the perfect instructions I decided to go with installing using the back up light cable. I have a 2011 Toyota Corolla S. I did not have to drill a hole like some reviews said instead I used the space in between the license place lights. I’m a bit of a tech guy so I took apart a good part of the molding on my trunk to get the wires to move past the hole made for the license plate lights. I ran the wire for the video according to the instructions that was all that was needed. I spliced the wires on one of the rear lights using the positive and negative wires that connect to the reverse light. I used duct tape to insulate then covered the wires back in the enclosure that covered the wires from the factory already installed on the care. Then I did take apart all the molding around my radio air conditioning controls and just loosened the radio mounts to be sure I could fit the wires behind the radio and mounted the camera on the dashboard in the middle it looks perfect and all of the wires are hidden. The instructions have you to connect the positive wires and then hook out the ground wire to one of the negative leads I chose the cigarette lighter wire. I then put the car in reverse to be sure it worked. After I was sure it worked I hide the video wire beneath the molding on the door following the existing wires that were already hidden. It was pretty simple but I had experience with adding a new radio to a care with a boom box and things of that nature. If you are not technically inclined I would not attempt but for me it was really easy I did it in about an hour.

For me.
For me it doesn’t work all the time. It always shows a blue screen even when I am not in reverse.
