LockState Connect LS-60i WiFi Internet Programmable Thermostat

UPDATE: I"m lowering my review to a 1. The device has increased my temperature setting to 95F at 4 points, costing me a few hundred in heating bills. Multiple customer service inquires have failed to get a response; customer service has previously been difficult, not solved problems. And as many have noted, their "app" for this product line has a 1.8 stats (out of 5) on the Android store.At this point, won't stay connected to WiFi, continually have to remove and re-insert WiFi unit (almost daily)Setup also was difficult-- you can connect to it by using a key provided on the back of the WiFi card/unit, but there are no instructions and even this isn't labelled as such. App/online controls difficult to use, but they do work OK when the unit is connected to WiFi.

I bought this for a vacation home that has a millivolt heating system (a millivolt system is not compatible with my normal go to thermostat, the nest). With a 24v DC power supply this thermostat will work with the millivolt system.After a moderately excruciating exercise getting this thermostat to talk to my wifi network, I got it working. For a very short period of time.HOWEVER, it constantly disconnects with the wifi connection. To re-establish, you need to physically be at the thermostat to reset. According to Lockstate tech support, there's a way around this, and that is to get a static IP address. This is only available with business accounts in my area, resulting in a $750 per year upcharge. That's unacceptable.So I have to give it a 1 star rating.

I owned 2 of this thermostats plus 2 wifi locks for my vacation homes (1 set each). They gave me nothing but problems, especially with the recent software updates from LockState. Not only they will tell you that their iOS/Android apps are complete useless, I couldn't remote control my thermostat either from my desktop web browser either. I have to fly down to FL (from NJ) to do troubleshoot with them. End result is "they will get back to me" because it didn't work. I waited 2 weeks now and no one ever get back to me. I would recommend you stay away from these half baked products. I am looking for alternative if you know any.

I've owned the Filtrete product and this one. Filtrete (radiotherm) got the software right.The software with this using is unstable on Apple and Android. Locks up. I haven't been able to get anything reliable to work.I'm going back to the Filtrete unit.

Everything has generally been working great. Every now and then it doesn't seem to refresh properly when on the web site. The main reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is I wish it had an Android app.

We purchased this for our rental unit in Florida. It's wonderful. We can monitor the Florida HVAC settings from our home in Tennessee. If renters leave and forget to set it to our recommended "away" settings, we can reset it from our computer in TN. It also tells you the weather and temperature outside at its location. The monitoring fee required is minimal: well worth the investment.

We have only been using this for about a month now but so far I love it. We have a second property about 3 hours away that we rent out as a vacation property. This device allows me to change the temperature at any given time from my computer or iPhone and see what the current temperature is. It has given me peace of mind even from afar.

It wasn't the LS-60i, it was the LS-60. It didn't have the WiFi module. I have used this thermostat before so I knew how it works and what to expect. As soon as I received it I knew it wasn't the correct product.
