If you don't like deep tissue, stay away!
This gives that wonderful "trigger" feeling of a deep tissue massage. A lot of people call it painful, but it feels amazing in my book!I was using on my back spots, kind of harder spots to get to but worked decent....then 2.5 months into owning it my hip locked up at work. [I have been working on flexibility recently and believe I pushed myself too hard working out] I hobbled through the day but it kept sending shocks through my nervous system. I think it may have been sciatica. I got home, used this tool (the position of it sitting under hip bone while you lay on it) and immediately I felt it release!! 10 stars!!

Hurts but feels amazing at the same time.
The hubby and I use this thing daily now.It takes some time to figure out the different positions, but well worth it!As avid runners and hikers, we needed this to release tensions in the back and hips. This does the trick!Good purchase!

It hurts but it works!
I have a chronic pain in my shoulder/ rhomboid that causes me a lot of discomfort. I have tried so many at home devices from super expensive theragun to a simple tennis ball. This is by far the best and most effective tool to help with getting some release in my shoulder trigger point. How don’t be fooled this will hurt…ALOT. But using it regularly has helped me tremendously. It’s super easy to use, you simply line it up to your tender spot and lie down. Great if you suffer from shoulder pain from long days at a desk. Really works out the knots!

Beware if you are overweight or have lack of flexibility
Target the hell spots on your back with consistent and distributed weight. No need to switch shoulders, just go.But the instruction manual is so bad. There's lovely full color 3D anatomical pictures...and the "how to" pictures are much smaller. There doesn't seem to be a copy on the website either. There doesn't seem to be hints or suggestions for how to position it if you are larger or can't easily reach behind your back. Considering how painful it can be if you poke a kidney, that is an oversight.Overall it is durable and works so well it makes me angry. My spine used to need to be crack often to help with pain until I started using this. I swear that one use increased my range of motion. Yet the device itself is so simple I get angry.Still think it's over priced, not seriously, but like by ten bucks.Totally worth it though.

Ineffective for Iliopsoas Release in Larger Bodies
I purchased this item to help release my psoas and iliacus; sadly, this product did not work for me. I am overweight and have a little bit of a middle-aged mom pooch. For reference, I am 5'10" and wear a size 14. My belly got in the way of being able to get enough leverage for this to access those deep hip muscles. It was nice on trigger points in the shoulders and traps, but I have enough other self-care tools that do this same thing. I will continue my search for a tool that will allow access to the iliopsoas area despite my body shape.

Massage therapist aprooved
I am a licensed massage therapist and I needed a way to hit my own trigger points. I have used foam rollers forever but they never quite relieved the deeper issues. I immediately noticed how helpful it was for me. I do understand though that anyone not familiar with referred pain might struggle to use little mum correctly. I was easily able to relieve my piriformis strain as well as my levator scapulae strain. Also don't just lay on it and not move! Wiggle on it and move it until you feel it is putting pressure on the correct spot. I should also mention it takes my 190 lbs easily.

Effective, light-weight, compact device
I was impressed with the quality of the product and how light it was immediately upon opening it. With a wide range of uses based on different positions and using different parts of it, I've found it to be very, very helpful and one of my primary go-to massage tools. It can feel so nice that I have to intentionally stop myself to give my body a break and not have too much pressure! :)It can be challenging to get the right pressure in the desired way in certain parts of the body, but to be fair, it's virtually impossible for any device to do everything well. I've found what works well for me. For instance, the deeper trigger point, targeting my lower middle back tends to be most effective while using it against the back of a chair rather than laying on the ground. With the softer, curved side, I find it stretches and aligns my upper back spine better than even the Chirp wheels do. I find these to be complementary with the wheels good for stretching in general, but this massage puts more precise pressure in particular areas, which can be very helpful. It's so light and compact yet soft that it's easy to carry around the house. I'm curious if it would trigger a manual search of luggage if I travel with it for work since it has a metal core (it should have no problems clearing, but I'm guessing it may get flagged on imaging due to its unique shape). I haven't traveled since I had it yet, but its size and efficacy would make it a nice travel companion.I struggled with the price, as others have noted. It's not cheap. But it is good quality with a long warranty. The customer service is very responsive, as I asked a range of questions. I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider returning it in the 30 day window purely because of price. I love this massager, but with some other big purchases around the same time, I was debating returning it to save some money. I kept it, and I really don't regret it. The metal core, great rubbery coating, warranty, multiple applications, and all the development, planning, and testing that had to go into it likely drives this price. I haven't found anything similar to it. So while I'd still like to see a lower price point for broader accessibility, the device itself is very, very good and one I recommend.
