Excellent lock with a few quirks
After viewing the Lock Picking Lawyer's YouTube video on the Easilok deadbolt I decided to replace my home's two deadbolt locks since one of them was on its last legs (keys were very difficult to remove). I ordered the Easilok E2 set of two deadbolts from Amazon. The first quirk was that although the listing said it comes with 5 keys per lock (i.e., 10 keys total), there were actually only 4 per lock. Not a big deal for me since I don't need them all. Quirk #2: the instructions, though quite detailed, were translated from Chinese and sometimes unclear. Quirk #3: not mentioned in the instructions was that the mounting screws in the back plate were too short for my standard door installation. However there was a set of longer screws included that worked perfectly. Quirk #4: it is crucial to align the notch on the latch mechanism as described in the instructions. This was more of an installer quirk and I take blame for it.Once I got the first lock installed, I was able to do the second one in less than 10 minutes. They both work flawlessly and are clearly well manufactured and of high quality. One thing I did was replace the mounting screws for the deadbolt strike plate with #9 2 1/2 in GRK wood screws for higher security against kicking the door in.Last comment: The main door to my home has glass which could be broken to open the inside lever of the deadbolt. Previously I had used a double cylinder deadbolt lock which uses a key for both the outside and inside. Of course this has risks when needing to escape in a fire, but the other door had the normal lever. Easilok does not offer a double cylinder version of their locks, so I plan to install security film over the glass in the door.

Solid lock with unusable updates
EDIT: I was able to "fix" these locks by disassembling them and lightly filing the tab on the lockout switches to give it a bit of a ramp to engage the channel it slides into. This work is visible in the photos I've attached, as well as the channel the tab locks into in the photo with the bolt assembly in the background. There are three, each aligned with a small drilled depression. Not changing my rating. Excellent lock, and it now works as it should, but I should not have had to disassemble it and file down bits to get to this point.Original review:After my car was broken into and one of my spare keys was stolen, I decided I should replace my locks. I have/had the first generation of Esilock and they have been fantastic. I went looking for a 1:1 replacement, but couldn't find a two-pack (ensuring common keys for front and back door) of the same model, so I decided to spend the extra few bucks and get the newest version.Dead lockAccidental lock preventionSounds good, right? One of the two locks showed up with a mounting plate with a mis-tapped thread and a stripped screw that dropped out when I took it out of the box. This would have normally meant I would have to return the set, but I was able to reuse the mounting plate from the previous lock. Then I got them mounted and the little plastic switches for the dead lock and outdoor lock protection are COMPLETELY UNUSABLE.These switches should engage with little effort. Instead, I have bruises on the tips of my fingers from trying to find the magic press-and-slide motion that gets these to work. If you work on it for a while, you can eventually get them to move (except for one of the switches, that just doesn't move at all), but it's so much work as to be impractical.I'm going to remove them tomorrow (done with it for today) and oil them to see if it makes a difference. Really disappointed that the quality of the lock doesn't carry over to the quality of these switches that are a buy-up feature.

Outstanding lock, but beware that its Schlage cylinders are 6-pin!
I bought two of these keyed alike, and planned to key three Schlage lever-type doorknobs to match these. Before doing so, a quick glance at the key showed six cuts, and all of my Schlage door levers are 5-pin. So, keying my levers to match these deadbolts was not possible. I could have keyed these deadbolts to match my Schlage 5-pin levers by removing the #6 top pin and spring, but this seemed a bit extreme, so I sent these back and purchased Schlage 5-pin deadbolts instead, and keyed all of them to the same key. With that said, these deadbolts were HEAVY, and were the most substantial and impressive deadbolts I've ever encountered. I'm now second-guessing my decision to send them back as I was really looking forward to the convenience of not having to use a key to lock it on the way out of my house.

Sometimes change isn't always good.
I recently ordered an Easilok double pack to secure my home and was disappointed when they arrived.I've used Easilok in the past and one of key components they made them different was "U" shape key that made it virtually un-pickable.So when I ordered a second set, I was highly disappointed to find that the new model came with a standard key. The model has a tiny night lock switch and says the new design "un-pickable".It may be a good new safety design, but unfortunately my confidence in this product was in the old key design rather than the little night switch on the side.
