This is very similar to what I had, which I liked very much.

the most readable test kit I've ever used, unfortunately it doesn't test for total alkalinity. probably my fault for not reading the description better

Does what it needs to do good value for the money.

We used this for one summer pool season in NM. Its super easy to use, but by the end of summer, September, the markings had washed off the plastic. I will have to get a new one this year, but will go with a different brand.

The chlorine bottle was empty because it leaked all the instructions. The pH tester bottle was defective and the dropper was sealed. The plastic used for the bottles was too thinI threw it out.

The secret to using these kinds of kits is leave a tiny air bubble under the cap in the tube. Then when you invert the test kit and then back to right side up, the air bubble moves back and forth to mix the droplets instead of shaking which they tell you not to do.
