A winner! So far, very effective for reading in restaurants while dining or for any similar use. (Can use for tablets without using book clamps.) Your book is at a reading angle. The appearance is very pleasing and avoids the unattractive big metal clamps I've used to keep my book open (which did not keep it standing up at a readable angle.) I've looked for years to find a useful reading stand with "hold open pages" designed strongly enough to keep the book in place, especially when reading paperbacks.Also its of a size that does not "tip over" easily. It is well made with wood & metal with a prospective long life. Reading heights are adjustable to 6 positions. NOTE: Add cork adhesive dots on bottom to avoid it sliding on surfaces. This stand is awesome, but the black plastic (rubber?) covering over the black stand on the bottom has started peeling off. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and it's started peeling off and the metal is ruining the bamboo under it. Kind of disappointing, but otherwise the stand is great. It's light, customizable, and super portable. Probably would not recommend it to a friend though because of the peeling plastic.

It is Multipurpose Book Holders for Textbook,Cookbook,Music,Reading,Piano,Ipad,Laptop,but it is not suitable for heavyweight laptops.It has 6 adjustment options to choose from and locks into place,which is really nice.I like this book stand ,its of modern design,I recommend this product.

High quality and very elegant book stand. However, it is only good for small to medium sized books and as a stand for laptops and tablets. Don't buy this for college text books or thick novels. Great for magazines also. I am happy to have it even if I have to buy another model for text books.

It’s a very nice stand that folds up totally flat, but if you have a thicker cookbook, it’s very difficult to hold it open with the way that part is designed

Purchased this on a Black Friday flash sale and love it! The design is nice, and the accoutrements are well made. Works for holding tablets/phones/books if your hands are busy, and can be used as a writing/flat tray as necessary. Great purchase

I have to say, this is really well made. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and really examined this stand. The quality is amazing. There are a few very minute imperfections, but you really have to look. I was very impressed with the quality of the wood, and the cuts made. This is just really well done.

I really needed something to hold up my school books while reading so my neck wasn’t killing me so bad afterwards. This stores easily and flat as could be, only about 1/2-3/4” thick, and adjusts.The reason I gave it a 4 was because after a couple weeks of using, the rubber end that stops the pages, broke off and now it’s just the metal... which rips my pages when I’m not careful. Nothing a little hot glue won’t fix.
